Yes Mercedes was so far ahead of everyone else in power and reliability it really killed the show. There had been dominant cars before but the reliability was a lot worse so often times the best car wouldn't win. Mercedes didn't help matters by not giving Hamilton a teammate that could compete with him. Rosberg was pretty good but Bottas has been a disaster.

Yes the Grosjean crash was a bad one. He is racing in Indycar now. The mortality rate in the 60s and 70s was ridiculous...they would lose a driver or two every season.

This season has been better as the Honda is finally powerful enough to allow Red Bull to challenge Mercedes. Red Bull has always had the advantage in aero but they didn't have enough power to really challenge them. Verstappen is probably the best driver in the series but they have had bad luck which I'm sure you'll see on the show.

My favorite driver is Daniel Ricardo just because he's hilarious.

I haven't watched yet but I'm sure I will binge it later. I heard it was more for the casual fan and some parts were a bit dramatized. I've only heard good things about it though.

I've seen all 3 seasons. He was with Red Bull in season 1 and I think he was with Renault the last two, but at the end of the last season he signed with McClaren.

I also thought it was cool that the guys who run the teams are basically celebrities as well. The guy from Red Bull is married to Ginger Spice!

Yes this season he is with Mclaren so it looks like the show runs behind which makes sense. I want Mclaren to do well as their CEO is an American. When he took over Mclaren was in very bad shape but he has brought them back. The UK fans were not happy when he took over but he has won them over.

Motorsports is massive in Europe. You see a lot of celebrities at the races. Its pretty much soccer and racing over there.

Has anyone watched You on Netflix? My wife wanted to see this and I'm watching it with her. It's about some dude who stalks a chick and kills people who get in his way. Kinda Dexter like with the narration and style. It's been interesting for the first several episodes.

I was thinking of watching the races, but I probably won't because I really like watching the show and not knowing what is going to happen. There was that massive crash last year with Grosjean and I was on the edge of my seat.
