Everybody pick a driver each week. Nobody picks the same guy, picking is first come first served. The thread will be posted weekly AFTER QUALIFYING. Then, starting with the first Chase race at New Hampshire, the Top 12 posters shall be assigned to the driver corresponding in the NEXTEL CUP standings. They keep this driver for the duration of the Chase. The players will also get to pick a driver out of the Chase to make things more interesting. And rack up the points for the championship.

If you change Chase driver, you will start with no points and CANNOT change back or get all wishy-washy.

For the second driver picked each week, you cannot pick one of the leftover chase drivers. The chase drivers not picked are effectively dead to us. Until they wreck out your guy and then you'll wish they were someplace else.

Confused? Good. Reward? Yes. A certain flightless bird from a certain AllenBrothers type service. Absteaks.com

I'm going with Carl Edwards and the #99 Office Depot/AFLAC Ford Fusion. This is a home track for Roush/Fenway Racing, and that's who I'm taking. However, NASCAR fans, think the weather forecast here sucks? Guess what? Thunderstorms are in the forecast for Sunday at Loudon, NH, which might mean the first race in the Sprint Cup's "Chase for the Cup" series could be pushed back to Monday. Although ABC Sports (ESPN on ABC) & US 99.5 are scheduled to broadcast PRN Radio Network coverage of Sunday's first race in NASCAR's version of the playoffs at 1p, ESPN would likely carry the Sylvania 300 Monday afternoon if they don't race as scheduled.

That's a heckuva breakdown SHARK, feel free to mix in a second driver to pick. Your words are too packed together for me to see the sarcasm font if you've used it.

I'll go with Tony Stewart. That's right - I'm kicking Jeff Burton to the curb.

I'll take Ryan Newman also.

Maybe SHARK should stop typing, and start reading....... I think this has been explained sufficiently.
((Of course, maybe we should stop promoting more typing also))

Reading has been around almost as long as the written word itself. It is an ancient discipline that has led the charge in the field of education but also caused many hardships, led to wars, and was used by Jenny Slaton to break up with me Junior year of high school. Reading, however, must be learned and is not intuitive.

I demand the points that were robbed from me by the Tony Stewart "speeding" violation. .3 of a mph? I question the calibration of their equipment to be able to make that reading.

You took Tony's car, the best in the field, and put him in at a competitive disadvantage and I DEMAND SATISFACTION, SIR!!
