10 team league (the conscientious objectors still haven't returned and we haven't restocked)

I'm doing little research.

That seems to be the area where I'd be stuck with Chubb. I think Chubb will be leaned on less than before and will probably go WR. However, then I'll be back again with a similar decision early in round 2.

TE in the first puts you in a bind for the rest of the draft.

I fear I'm getting stuck with Packers

Barkley may be available. In mocks at your spot, I found the hard decision to be between backs like KC's sophmore, Mixon, Jacobs, RBs like that, etc., vs elite WRs like Diggs or Hill. Even Ridley. I was inclined toward grabbing the elite WR over the likes of someone like Mixon. That meant i usually entered "RB dead zone" without a RB, which sucked, but I just couldn't justify picking Mixon/KC sophmore/Jacobs/etc over an elite WR.

in the draft I was in a lot of QBs went early which led to some good options at the end of the 1st.

never take a TE in the 1st round.

So much WR depth now, gotta go RB with first two picks..then WR the next 2..

That was the wisdom going in but again for me if I'm 11th or 12th or whatever and Diggs is still on the board, I'm going Diggs over Mixon.

I'd go Diggs there too, you gotta hope somebody takes Mahomes and Kelce and you get two elite backs.

I passed on Barkley and McCaffrey in both drafts, no faith in those guys staying healthy. I'll take Zeke, Cook

It is a gamble on any of them. Zeke/Cook are not any more likely to stay healthy than Barkley/McCaffrey

Not sure why you say that. Nobody would have a problem with taking a WR1 in the first round. Kelce and Waller produce at WR1 levels.

Go back to back Kelce and Waller, you'll win the TE and Flex matchup every week. You'll also force a bunch of guys to reach for TEs.

I took Waller just so I wouldn't have to choose between the TE trash you're going to see once the ATL rookie and Andrews are off the board.

I'm not sold on Zeke after he slipped last year. Took Pollard in all my drafts.

I had Chubb last year so I watched Hunt take some goal line carries away from #24. But....Chubb still had 1,000+ yards and 12 TDs even after missing 4 games. He was involved in the passing game quite a bit late in the season too.

He was available in the 2nd Round (drafting 6th) in my 10 team league this season. Wound up with Zeke and then Chubb.

So 13 teams passed on him if I did my math right? (You picking 6th in round 1 and 4th in round 2)

After selecting Zeke with my 1st Round pick, I suppose 4 teams (each with two picks) passed on Chubb?

I screwed that up I guess. Can't believe he survived that long.

what do you think about going unconventional with a guy like Gus Edwards? The path is clear for him to be a workhorse

I'm down on him personally, meaning I wouldn't reach and I don't factor him being elevated to the starting role in my decision about when to take him.

That being said, taking him is less riskier than my strategy of avoiding the Hendersons, Edmonds, Thomas, etc., of the world, despite their starting statuses. I guess I'd place Edwards in that category as well - guys who aren't elite but happen to have a lot of workload.

I went after guys like AJ Dillon, Pollard, Mattison, Gordon's backup, etc., in later rounds because I preferred to help myself to WR riches earlier rather than take a guy like Henderson or whomever just because he was a starting back. That means I'll get plenty of points from my QB, WRs, and TEs and maybe something from my RBs if I strike gold. I guess the opposite is having solid/unspectacular RBs (like Edwards) and good WRs. My route was elite WRs/TEs and low-scoring RBs with RB1/2 potential if other guys get injured/benched.

I have the 2nd pick in a 12 team league, non PPR. You must draft the following, 21 rounds:

3 QB
6 RB
6 WR
2 TE
2 Def
2 Kickers

Edwards has 15+ TD potential this year. Not many players do. I'd be fine taking him where he's currently being drafted.

I just think the engine of that team is Lamar (obviously) and I see his presence as reason to downgrade that team's RBs.

I think that's already baked into his current ADP and he's a clear value at that point of the draft.

Jackson and Williams will poach a lot of TDs from him, he's good .. probably the 15th best back.
