 that was the worst part trying to pick out frames.

I need to get new glasses soon. Do you think if you ask they still make monocle's? I really think that would be an interesting look when I am working at the office.
I'll get a standard pair of glasses for at home for when my contacts are out. :eye:

Just picked up my Prep solution for the colonoscopy on Monday morning. Ramping down food intake and will start with the clear liquids by Saturday afternoon.

I’ve heard you can just use pills now instead of “prep”. Has the same effect but you just pop the pill.

Yes 45 yr old rookie. It sucks. Nardi, you are so old they probably just ask you to bend over and look in there with a Mag-Lite. I'm still tight and delicate.

I slipped and fell inside a dump trailer while shoveling out mud that would not slide out on its own. Fell almost flat on my ass, but put out my right arm to slow the decent. Now, my normally 75% right shoulder is about 33%. Guess I won't get to start a game for the Cubs this season, after all.

Sorry to hear K, you pretty sure you didn't break anything on the arm? Hopefully just some kind of sprain on the shoulder and it is back up to 75% in no time.

Taking a break from full time Friday Night Lights officiating this year and subbing here and there on crews if I don't have a gig. Last week as the Head Linesman (Down Judge in the NFL) I was turning to my left to follow a Jet Sweep down my side line when I flagged a hold by the wing back. I didn't see the two lineman grappling towards my way and had my legs swept out from under me. Needless to say I am still sore and not looking forward to working the same position tonight.

Sorry to hear that Dan.

Is back judge the safest place to be?

There and Referee. At least we only have to work the Varsity tonight.

People who do calisthenics in the middle of the bike path. There's a fucking lawn two feet away where you could do burpees without bothering anyone, you asshole. Like my old grandad used to say, "Hooray for me, the hell with you!"

A kid who I coached for five years committed suicide this morning. I hadn't seen him in 6-8 years. There's a rolling sense of depression I'm falling into.

Hug your kids and please let them speak freely with uou.

Earlier this summer while biking in Deer Grove I came up on a guy doing this very thing. I found it to be quite bizarre.

Ditto. I get depressed just thinking about the number of people I have known who have either committed suicide or had someone in their family do it. Including two of my cousins.

I'd never thought about that. I was always focused on keeping kids into school and hoping that they'd get degrees or join good unions.

I have thought about it because I watched our football coach go thru it a few yrs ago. This happened during their season tho and just decimated their team from the coach down to every player.

Hang in there, and just keep trying to have a good influence on kids. That is one of the best things anyone can do in this world.

A lot of anxiety and worry over nothing as far as the procedure goes. I could see why Michael Jackson would really like that propofol stuff. Blinked my eyes and procedure was over. Now I just
have to wait for lab results for the 3 pieces they removed during the procedure. Doctor didn't seem too worried but said I'd likely have to come back in 3 years rather than 5 or 10 for the next round.

So sorry Reader. That's really tough.

Growing up I knew a lot of kids who struggled with depression and a few who spent some time in inpatient treatment. One girl I knew unfortunately was successful in her attempt. Any time I see a kid remotely struggling in that manner...the memories hit me hard. The amount of suicides that I hear of out here is staggering. Even after witnessing it growing up its still hard to wrap my mind around the whole thing.
