There was a Henry Burris Sunday night game vs Tampa that was really bad when they were in Champaign. A Sunday or Monday night game vs the Giants in which Cutler was almost murdered due to his oline.

Bears vs. San Francisco in 2000.

That game was awful.

This game was why I loved the Angelo/Lovie years. Sexy Rexy goes 6/19 for 34 yards, 3 ints, 1 sack and the team piled up 107 yards on offense but they won 23-13 with a Hester return TD, a safety, and a pick 6.

2001 saints, they were 7-5 going into MNF against the rams. they had a pretty solid game, but it was a revenge game for the rams after losing the 2000 playoff game. they answered, and beat the saints 34-21. saints fans were trashing the turf at the superdome, and it was pretty embarrassing.

they went on to lose their last 4 games (including that rams game), finishing 7-9. the worst of it was the final game of the season, throwing up a doughnut to the 49ers, losing 38-0.

apparently there were tons of locker room issues, but to thrash the falcons like they did to get to 7-5 and then fall apart...i couldn't believe they brought haslett back. they would have another collapse in the 2002 season, starting 6-2 and going 9-7.

not that there aren't other, worse saints years. but i was too young for the 1980 saints season and i almost totally blocked out the 90's.

now back to the bears...

The Ditka era almost had me swearing off of NFL football.

Yeah but that was one of the best NFL performances most of us have seen.

Not the worst individual QB game, but I was at the 2002 New England "home" loss against the Patriots. Crystal Chandelier and Jim Miller were both injured in the game. They absolutely refused to put Burris in the game. I believe Marty Booker even played as QB. We saw afterwards with the Tampa game why that was the case. It was just God-awful.

Week 1 Packers/Saints feels like a worse performance than the Bears yesterday. Bears scored more, allowed less, and at least weren't favored in the game :lol:

Chicago Bears Inciter Adam Hoge reviewed the All-22 footage of the loss to the Cleveland Browns, he noted that there are some concerns about rookie quarterback Justin Fields' play

https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/video/there-reason-be-concerned-about-bears-justin-fields-play

Besides not picking up blitzes and being unfleet of foot in the face of pressure, among the concerns noted by Hoge:

1. Fields hesitates before making no-brainer pass decisions; you can't hesitate in the NFL or those tight windows close;
2. Fields devolved into a 1 read QB as the game progressed, missing opportunities to hit wide open receivers for big plays;
3. Fields was drafted by Bears GM Ryan Pace,
4. tOSU

Marty Booker threw a 44 yard TD pass!
