Huge difference with Fields under center vs Fields in shotgun, kinda funny that Nagy was dismissive of running I formation stuff last year, but Fields does much better under center. Interesting that Olin saw the same thing I did a few times, if Fields keeps the ball on a few times he's got an easy 10-15 yards once he breaks outside contain, Fields will kill defenses once they start running boots because he is able to keep his head up and is looking for big plays downfield.

A lot of positives, but still bogged down by the Nagy's base offense concepts which they should get rid of immediately in order to take advantage of what Fields does best.

Watching Nagy's post game press conference was surreal, he could not bring himself to give Lazor credit, even though he called a completely different game than Nagy. Also noticed Nagy starts almost every sentence with the word, "so", I know that's somewhat common today, but he said it at least 18 times according to my count during his rambling presser.

I keep saying it. Nagys problem is his ego.

Down 14 in second quarter, noted knee cap biter Dan Campbell goes for it 4th and goal at the 5... Later in the game down two scores he again chooses to go for it and ends up empty. What a dope

Lions coach has some meatball tendencies.

Thanks.

So... sane head coaches are becoming rare these days.

These guys have spent decades trying to teach genetic freaks that are for the most part complete idiots where to stand and which direction to run on each play, so there is no way they come through that process sane.

The Lions would have given up yesterday if Matt Patricia was still coaching them. Dan Campbell is a players coach and they are rebuilding the team starting with the offensive and defensive lines. In two years the Lions will be a young and upcoming team and the Bears will be old and beat up. Anyone care to wager who will have a better record in 2 years? I'll take the Lions. Bring it!

Is there some rule that says Hicks and Goldman can't play together? One of them gets injured as soon as the other gets healthy.

Campbell's good at motivating his team to play all 60 minutes; but then you could have Ric Flair give pre-game/half-time speeches and stand on the sidelines yelling "Go team!" and it'd be the same result. If Nagy needed to give up offensive play calling duties, Campbell needs to give up all head coaching decisions, pick up some pom-poms and just be a cheerleader.

It is also important to note if you’re reporting objectively, the Lions are a really bad football team.

Even with that, a game the Bears should have put away after going up 21-0 on their first possession of the third quarter was still in doubt with 4:15 to play and with the Lions at the Bears’ 8-yard line, down 24-14.

On fourth-and-1, the Bears got a stop to turn the Lions away and pump some oxygen back into the stadium.

Detroit was its own worst enemy, getting points only once on five trips inside the red zone. Actually, all five trips were inside the 10-yard line and two of those drives ended in fumbles.

Fields made 4 or 5 elite level throws in that game. However, I think it's also the "low expectations" game based on the previous one.

11/17, for 209 yards, 0 touchdowns, 1 interception against the Lions. That's basically what Trevor Lawrence did on Thursday night and people are talking about him being a bust.

they're all busts except Lance and Jones, which is par for the course for 1st round QB picks. The only question is how long do their organizations pretend otherwise. Not surprising that Shanahan and Belichick would pick the right guys while the Jets, Bears and Jaguars would draft the wrong ones.

I cant believe we would call anyone a bust 2 starts in. That's a bit weird.

Or how you could be so sure on Lance, I don't how you can figure all of this out already.

Mitch had tons of those games.

If Mitch went 11/17 he'd usually have about 120 passing yards though. Not that it means Fields was great or anything yesterday.

As JLN mentioned last night, Mac Jones looks like a gimpy armed Chad Pennington, I'm confident we drafted the correct QB, but will the Bears ruin him? Plausible.

19-29, 199 YDS, 1 TD
That is what Mitch did in the playoffs against the Saints last year.

However, 10 of those passes and 99 of those yards came on the last driver of the game in which the Bears were down 21-3, with 2:19 left.
