Also someone on my moms side of the family kept kids in some kinds of cages.

You’re related to DB Cooper?

Yeah supposedly. But I never believe that kind of shit. I think it's a bullshit family myth.

Can I get 50 bucks?

You're not gonna like what I'll want for it.

I just watched the Dr Phil interview
The Dad came across good initially but they gave him too much time and now I think he’s behind it somehow

Now the dude seems to have stolen an insurance settlement from his housekeeper who "tripped over the dog" and died.

This story is insane. That guy was a real mess. How did he get away with all of this so long?

Get the sense from reading about how well-oiled that process ran that that isn't the first plaintiff to have their settlement diverted to the pockets of local attorneys and judges.

wild speculation by locals is that the Murdaughs leveraged their control over the judicial system of coastal carolina counties (Jasper, Beaufort, Hampton) to facilitate smuggling. Liquor back in the 1920's, and then narcotics in more recent decades. Busting smugglers who refused to pay tribute and looking the other way for those who did. If that were true, they'd have a lot more cash than they appear to have. Considering they cleaned up on plaintiff suits for decades.

Apparently everything fell apart b/c they were dead to rights going to be held liable for the boat kid killing that girl and they couldn't wriggle out of it. Should've paid off the girl's family, plead out the kid to a manslaughter sentence and moved on. Probably didn't want the kid to get tagged with a felony and hinder his ability to carry on the family business of legal grift.

Hasn’t been seen for a long time. He either had a long time to disappear and was never in that swamp or he’s gator guano.

Sightings are everywhere. He’s a bald, white skinny guy. Shit, at 23 I might of been tagged as him. There was someone that says he keeps getting dirty looks because he’s a dead ringer for the guy. Thought it was funny at first and I guess now it’s getting not so fun.

I doubt he's out and about. my guess is he's been squirreled away in some relative/friend of the family's basement this entire time, probably out of state. This guy isn't Eric Rudolph, who had survival training in the Army. Even Rudolph resorted to dumpster diving to feed himself. So Laundrie has to have some sort of resource support. Figure out how the family's funneling money to him and you'll find the kid.

feeding gators is illegal in Florida. alligators unable to distinguish feeder from food; appears to the gator that the human feeding them is just food falling apart.

Memory wipe with a revolver in the swamp. Later eaten by gators.

How does Florida feel about killing one’s spouse?

Then get a cane pole, and catch the gator that ate him.

Recommend Mexico or Canada for unwanted spouse disposal. Canada's max is 25 years and they'll usually let you out after half of that. Mexico's about 7 years actual time served for killing a spouse.

Acquaintance spent about 7 years in a Mexican prison. 0/10 stars, would not recommend.

Strangeville's a new podcast that takes something of a Reveal approach to news / crime stories across the country, digging into the background behind the headlines to provide in-depth, one-off eps on discrete events in different locales

Image

First episode (of 8 so far) keys off this Houston happening, which eventually involves a mattress king and an alleged murderer rolling up to a presser in a Bentley:
