The commissioner could have threatened to fine the Raiders, punish them, or suspend or expel Gruden. That didn't occur. Instead videos were leaked and the press covering the NFL ran with it. They led with racism, and the suggestion of racism is going to get you removed from a league that is scared of black players going political. Messaging on sidelines says "End Racism" or some other anti-racist slogan. The league can afford to alienate gay players or fans. And the idea that sending photos of cheerleaders is a problem when the league sells calendars of them is laughable.

There is one reason Gruden is gone. He's "racist", and the NFL media took him down starting with Randy Moss crying on NFL pregame.
