Has anyone noticed on the intro themes for each season they focus on a different Roy child?

Season 1 had Kendall the most in focus.
Season 2 shifted to more images of Shiv
Season 3's intro is giving us Roman.

I haven't watched S3 episode 3 yet, but the first two episodes have been more than a little off. Hoping things pick up quickly.

Episode 3 was also somewhat different than what I'm at least used to seeing on this show. The drama escalated and I'm not sure I was completely sold as a viewer.

Juggernaut of a show. Last ep had almost too much great content going on to track. Roman may be the best written character on any show in the last several years.

Recently caught up. Things got interesting at Kendall's party. I'm still not sure what to think of the gradual closing of last season's major plot/cliffhanger - Kendall fomenting a coup against his father. Maybe that's essentially the plot this time around, that he failed once again. It's still kind of murky though because it's not really apparent to either Kendall or the viewer that he's lost, at least not to me. We've seen a lot from the Waystar perspective: the 51-49 win at the shareholder meeting, tentatively avoiding major damage at the hand of the DOJ, etc. But we haven't seen much from Kendall's vantage point except that the evidence is light. Or again we're told that verbally but it's not clear what Kendall thinks. Also are we still waiting for the other shoe to drop with respect to the agreement Shiv and family made with Stewey and the other antagonist? Not sure where we are with that. I'm just not clear if the story/plot is just so above my ahead that I'm failing understand or if in fact this has been a slow and kind of muddled execution of the plot.

Great character development recently for Roman, Shiv and Tom.

I just saw yesterday's episode and...I guess I know the answers to my questions now. I'll still say there's some narrative confusion with respect to how Kendall has handled/managed the takeover process but last night wraps it up as best as it could.

I cant really fathom having tens of billions, Im assuming the kids all have stock in their names.. why would kendall request a buyout? Just sell his shares and move on.

I think he’d get a premium assuming the family overpaid to keep their stake and he’d get some type of ready-made business to run as a little bonus. In all likelihood I think he’s a dead man by the end of next episode but that’s neither here nor there.

I think he's there alone - he's ostracized, as the scene with his mother made clear, no girlfriend and his PR person is chilling with Greg. Suicide/death is strongly implied as it was last week (balcony) and I think during the second season (top of a building which was the later boarded up to prevent jumpers). People have said though that in sneak previews for next week that you can sort of make Kendall out at a dinner and that ceremonies don't seem to be affected, so maybe it was just a tease. I think it's plausible. Not sure where else to take the character narratively now that he's failed again. But it's also hard to imagine the show without him - Roman and Shiv will need to carry more, but Kendall has always been the deeper/more complex one. Maybe Tom fills the gap if Kendall dies as I think you can go places with him and his failed marriage. He does seem to have earned Logan's respect, maybe that pits him and Shiv against each other professionally.

It would be cool if the show gradually killed off all of Logan's potential heirs instead of killing Logan off. I'd like to see Connor elected president before he goes, though.

This season has had some very poorly written scenes in which the usual wit of the characters is replaced by awkward vulgarity. And as vegan said above, Kendall's takeover attempt was handled somewhat incoherently. But I suppose the incoherence of that storyline is insignificant because the show's major concern is the moral turpitude and other fundamental inadequacies of its central characters rather than corporate intrigue.

I really want Greg to end up as the company's CEO. How many episodes will it be before he and Tom have sex?

Kendall almost has to die. I really don't know where else you can go with him, and his death could spur everyone else into some different directions. Or maybe further into chaos.

I think it was just a reminder that even when Roman’s seemingly done well, he’s still gonna Roman. He’s single handed driving this GoJo thing and he caps off a good meeting by trying to send a dick pic to the acting CEO. It’s like a ‘maybe this kind has finally figured it out…wait no, he’s still a massive fuckup.’ The disappointment was palpable.

I thought Conor was trending slightly upward these last few weeks. He mentioned his polling had marginally improved. He also asked his father for some sort of position at the company though I forget where that went. He's still a joke as a presidential candidate but perhaps this opens up other doors for him politically. With his relative fame and media connections, maybe he's like an aspiring poor man's Tucker Carlson or something. Of course his personal situation took a big hit once his partner basically implied she's not into him.
