Had to be 2 great opponents to prevent Matt from dominating the board, and daily doubles.
He went "full Les" on final Jeopardy. Uncharacteristically made no sense.

The show was rigged much through Matt's run, because nearly all the opponents he had were poor. I'm not saying he isn't good, because he is, but after the show's bad publicity around Alex's replacement, it's clear the shows' producers decided to make it easy for Matt, so that the bad publicity would go away.

Then comes Monday and Matt actually has a competition against two decent opponents. And he completely fell on his face under pressure by uncharacteristically answering questions he did not know the answer to. He did not guess much throughout his reign.

Everyone in the world knew the answer to Final Jeopardy on Monday. The question was after the Nazi's annexation of this country and the defeat of the Nazi's by the allied powers, the country was split into four quarters. It could only be Czechoslovakia or Austria, and Matt answered Poland. I cannot believe he didn't know that when he knew pretty much everything else.

The show will die unless they bring in another and better permanent host. While technically she is not a bad host, Mayim is not Alex and really does not have the charisma for the job. She would do better as the host of "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?".

My thoughts throughout the episode was Matt was panicking, or the fix was in. In his long run, his 2 most capable opponents were on the same show?

He really amped up his dry personality mid run. Seemed he was coached up to smile more.

I like Mayim Bialik. Perfect choice.

I felt he was lucky several times with daily doubles. Also he hit the big dollar questions early to put on the pressure.

I always felt his explanation of wanting to be careful for taking nearly the max time to answer was BS. I think he beeped on a ton of shit blind and had to pull the answer. Shutting out other players.

Jonathan Fisher still rolling where I'm up to. A gay guy actor who likes sports, and manly interests. Then, he's into a lot of stuff also that the women are into. Tough to beat.

I can't watch this show anymore with Mayim as host. I don't like her reading the questions. She has the wrong voice for it that leaves me disinterested, even after being a fan of the show for many years. Yes, it's sexist, but a man should be in the host position.

I imagine the ratings have tanked, even though the show has had two long-running champions back-to-back by design.

I don't like her as the host either. Something is off.

Great thing about the show is there's very little opportunity for the host to spew their radical liberal views. Little at the opening, and end. Which can be avoided by fast forwarding.

This has gotta be up there for most pathetic posts on the board.

A big congratulations to the new Jeopardy! champ, Amy Schneider, a transgender woman who won the show during Trans Awareness Week. Competing against reigning champ Andrew He, who had a five-day streak, Schneider won big on last night's (Nov. 17) episode and will continue her run into tonight's throw-down.

I asked my Mom, a daily watcher, about this today, she was unaware, but asked why they couldn't just be a Jeopardy! champ, who cares about their personal stuff. Pretty woke for an 81 year-old.

12-8 Ashleigh was given an opportunity to answer uncontested right after no one got the previous one right. Something happened.

Ashleigh got the last Daily Double in “Names and Places 2021” under the $800 clue on the very last pick. In third place with $5,200, she had $17,200 less than Sam’s lead. Ashleigh bet $2,000 and took a shot at it with the Black Sea. That was WRONG.

Ken Jennings didn't have much to say in response to Amy saying she's looking for a house with a big bathtub that'll accommodate her & her gf at the same time.

I assume this used to be a guy?
