It takes more than a few games to be a bust or a savior. We should have a better idea by this time next year. None of the rookie QBs have been particularly good this year. Mac Jones threw for 300 vs the Jets today. So I guess we can crown his ass.

Old people here, can you comment on if Fields is actually better than either Vince Evans or Bobby Douglass?

I'm old enough to remember them - my earliest Bears memories was the guy from the Lions dying on the field which freaked me out and a radio home game of Bears hosting the Falcons with Jack and Kup on what passed for the call.

I remember Vince Evans being much better later in his career than he ever was with the Bears for some reason. I was really young when he was with the Bears but I seem to remember him as a guy with a cannon of an arm but lacked accuracy.

I liked Allen a lot coming out of college, I knew he was a star his second year.. he had a really great 2nd season season..ran for about 10 TDs and 500 yards and threw 19-9

I saw three or four of his games, saw the big arm, but he had no accuracy or pocket awareness. I was stunned when he got drafted so high.

I think Allen is running too much, they are a real SB contender if he stays healthy..I see him taking a lot of hits too and not sliding.
