I mean holy shit how do the guys in the room not make fun of him when that one gets out? He had 10" height and a 50+% weight advantage on the predator.
The predator knew what he was doing and likely chose 'John Doe' because he knew he could manipulate him and get away with whatever he wanted.

And he did. With help from the FO of the Blackhawks. That is nothing short of disgusting.

Looks like the Blackhawks took the playbook on covering up sexual assault right from the Catholic Church

And this is the biggest issue here IMO because that kid in Michigan is the definition of vulnerable and unable to fight it off.

That is where the Blackhawks failed the most and where their content is most like Penn State.

So now we're begrudging people/organizations for telling cops to pound sand and invoking their protections under the 4th amendment? When is it acceptable or permissible to invoke your rights?

2nd player was at a college after he left the organization with some members of the FO writing him recs to help him get the job. That's where the Blackhawks are most like Penn State or the church

Change the diddler bit to "terrorist" and this is how the PATRIOT Act happens.

Someone has to stand up to dangerous sentiments like are being hurled in this thread, and since you so obviously lack the fortitude to do it, guess it'll have to be me.

After he left the Hawks, Aldrich diddled a high school kid in Michigan.

It's not acceptable. Invoking your constitutional protections is not "covering up" or otherwise impeding investigations. Do you even realize how dangerous that is?

It’s only noble to tell police to go eff themselves in certain situations .

In this particular scenario, it absolutely appears this was the case.

The organization had every right to want the process to go through the proper channels.

But that clearly does not seem to be all they were doing. It seems as if they were using that as a means to cover up info that they did not want to get out. And that is completely unacceptable.

Stop it will you? We all know and understand that crimes against children are horrible. It's real easy to clamor for abandoning the rights of society's most contemptible people and confuse it with being tough or virtuous.

And if the cop had a warrant or other sufficient cause to make "show me your records on this guy" a lawful order, it's a different situation.

Agree. Yes they have their rights and should use every one of them.

You know that when it 'worked' to their advantage and there was no warrant issued or anything, MANY in that front office were breathing a huge sigh of relief.

You'd have been a hit in Salem, Reverend Parris.

I suggest you watch "The Drumhead" episode of Star Trek TNG. Pay particular attention to the scene where Picard and Worf are having a discussion in the observation lounge.

Clearly the scouting on him was way off because damn was he soft.

This wasn't some 5th rounder selected from a podunk USHL team

He had high PIM while putting up points in the WHL, the stats show he only played eight games with Rockford in 2009-2010. You're correct, he was a first rounder from a 100,000 person town in BC. But, he was someone who was just beginning his journey and looking at the numbers a bit of a cement-head. 20 years old and up with the big team, you think he understood he was getting Buff or Brouwer's spot? Come on, you're smarter than this.

Blackhawks released a statement today:

Dear Blackhawks fans,

If I told you in 2009 that we could win 3 Cups in 5 years, but in return someone would get molested, would any of you objected?

You're welcome.

I suggest you admit that RFDC and I and correct, and that we shouldn't waste our time watching nerd shows to try and understand some pedantic point you're trying to make.

It's not always about being physically overpowered. You're talking about someone who apparently made it clear that he had some authority over his job and earning potential. He held sway over whether he would make it in the NHL on some level. You're Essentially talking about a very young man who didn't have a guaranteed shot at the show. And this guy told him he could get him kicked out.

I'm not "blaming" him. I just find it odd. I'm guessing if some guy tried to suck your cock against your will he'd be breathing out of the side of his head.

And I'm pretty certain that a first round NHL pick has more power and sway than a strength coach or whatever the fuck that guy was. But I do take your point that a teenage kid may not be aware of his power.
