(of an employee) learn additional skills.

So, it’s a stupid way of saying training.

I disagree with this one completely.

From my experience the people who bring this up and get upset about it (the Dan Bernstein's of the world) never played competitive sports in their life. People who played competitive sports have no problem with people saying "we" when referring to their team.

Sports teams are named after cities, states, and regions for a reason. They want it to be “we.” The 53 Guys on the Roster and No One Else Bears doesn’t have the same ring.

I’ve noticed this for years but I have college professors in my family that are just smarter than they need to be.

Imagine having 4 Tall Midgets come stay with you for a week every Christmas. Great people. But, you know.

What I notice from all of them and my own professors through the years is that they start every sentence with “So….” and end them with “…right?”

And then begin the cycle again. It’s weird. And once I recognized it I can’t not hear it ever again.

I was once such a delightful speaker that people would mistake me for an old school WASP, perhaps the owner of the town's factory. Now, thanks to students, I sound like Pam from The Office. Incidentally, I took that damn "Which character are you?" survey twice today and ended up as Pam both times.
