They really haven't played anyone of note. Dallas is a mess. Kidd will take heat for it but they are Luka and whole bunch of nothing. It is probably the main reason Carlisle bailed. Porzingus is looking like one of the worst contracts in the league right now. They can't move him for anything of note.

Mavs aren't going to make the playoffs. Nets aren't the Nets without my man Kyrie and the Grizz are ok but not elite. When the smoke clears Miami will still be outside of the top 4 imo. I like Lowry but he is 35 years old. There isn't much difference between what they trotted out last season and this one. They were swept in the first round by the Bucks and looked bad while doing it. That is more indicative of who they are than this hot start that they're currently on.

Lowry has been great and so has Butler/Bam, but the key to their revival has been the massive step up in play of Tyler Herro off the bench. Had a rough sophmore year and took a lot of heat for his off court activities, but he has shown up ready to ball this year and has been lighting it up off the bench.

I would say they are definitely top 3 in the East this year and have moved past my Hawks in the pecking order.

As the guys on TNT pointed out, it's one thing to score some points off the bench when you are at best the 4th best player on the team and you have never faced a double team in your life. It's a whole different story when you are the best player on your team and get doubled all the time and still manage to produce and lead your team to playoff success (as only Trae has). It's like comparing apples to truck tires.
