Evil Eye is the worst thing I've ever had but its technically a malt liquor. Pure acetone.

My Montana years made the Coors products and Key light far too familiar but they never gave me the splitting headache at least.

Budweiser products do that to me.

I get the same reaction from the AB brands- I was once told it was because Bud is a rice-based beer rather than wheat. Today, I don't know if that remains true, but I still get a splitting headache from half a beer.

I remember being excited to drink Heineken like the late Eddie VanHalen, never finished the first one.

Right now, the only beers here are Rolling Rock.

When I was working at the Albertsons out west I recall seeing a case of Rolling Rock light and remember thinking how was it possible for Rock and Roll to get any lighter. Rolling Rock was a constant in my fridge 20 years ago. It’s been a long time since I’ve had one. A long time. Beer drinking is prettt limited these days.

The trifecta of Miller Lite / Coors Lite / Budlite are all equally terrible.

PBR used to be drinkable but as of late to me it has gotten to taste really tinny.

That leaves High Life as my go-to when a domestic cheapie is required, i.e. a beer back to a Bloody Mary in a Wisconsin bar.

Truth is, I'll drink any piss water you hand to me and thank you for the gift. I'm not picky.

I am not too picky about beer, there aren't really any I flat out won't drink if offered, but I have a couple friends who are real IPA fanatics and they always seem so enthusiastic about whatever new beer they have discovered and 95% of the time they taste pretty shitty to me. I always try to be gracious about it, but sometimes it is hard. If i am working in the yard or working on a project at home and get a thirst, i usually have plenty of Busch Light on hand. I know it isn't great beer, but it is cheap and smooth and easy to chug down on a hot day. If I am going out to dinner or some kind of occasion with friends I prefer stout beers.

The only beer I haven't been able to stomach is a few of the limited edition christmas beers. I still haven't found one that is acceptable but I know I'll be tricked into trying again during the holidays

I'm a bigfan of Sam Adams Winter Lager. Give that a shot if you can. Its definitely not like those Christmas Ales, which are very hit or miss to me.

Revolutions Fistmas is pretty solid if you haven't tried that.

THIS. I agree Christmas beers are usually shit. FISTMAS is the exception.

For the regular domestics.....most are pretty terrible, but there's a ranking
1. Bud LIght is the worst
2. Coors lite is water down nothing
3. Miller Lite is drinkable but nothing I'd pick.

My "out beer" that's used for mileage and a lot of drinking is PBR or Hamm's. I prefer Hamm's, but it's not available at a most places.

it's true christmas ales typically underwhelm. christmas is the time for mead, mulled wine (heavy on the cinnamon and light on the cloves), and stout beers.

Still a Christmas beer though. I’ve had it, better than others but nothing I’d ever buy. Just not a genera flavor profile that I like. Kind of like pumpkin ales, hard pass. But whatever floats your boat and obvious many enjoy them. I’m more in the WZ school of thought of stouts that time of year.

Doug can speak more to this since he is a Fistmas aficionado, but the batches of that seem to change from year to year making it very hit or miss for me. Last year's I liked. The 2019 batch, no so much.

They do change year to year. I agree, the 2019 batch was meh...2018 and 2020 were both solid, though.

Fistmas is only good compared to other Christmas beers. It's like how the Packers dominate the NFC North. It's not that they are good. It's that the rest of the division sucks.

Which is why I prefer Sam Adams Winter Lager, thus being a lager and FAR SUPERIOR to most xmas ales.

They don’t seem to make it every year or not enough but for Christmas I like one from Leinenkugel. Cranberry Ginger I think.

If anyone comes at me with Busch Light is a bad beer, we might have words...

Christmas beers - you really have to like spices to dig them. Fistmas is good - I tend to the IPA types like Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale too.

Busch Light is a damn fine beer and very popular up here in Wisconsin where a lot of bars serve them as tall boys for $2.

I love the spices of Christmas. It just doesn't work with beer. I'd much rather have those spices in a hot cider with Jack Daniels cinnamon.

Then again, some people also like milkshake stouts.

Busch Light sucks.

But what do I know...my cheap beer of choice is either High Life or PBR...whichever 30 pack is on sale this time.
