Why isn’t it being prescribed here? Why has the medical community dismissed it? We’ve all read stories about people taking the human medicine (which is meant to treat parasites and head lice). If it is effective, surely we would have proof beyond some anecdotal stories.

That’s a bit of a copout answer though. What you are essentially saying is you trust populist leaders in South America (who were the 1st to tout Ivermectin) as well as a bogus and ultimately retracted study over the recommendations of U.S. medical officials. The fact that Peru was one the 1st to promote the use of Ivermectin and has since removed it from its treatment protocol because it has found it to be ineffective matters not. As for it being partisan - wouldn’t you agree that approximately 50% of Doctors are republicans? Why aren’t they prescribing it in huge numbers? Certainly if it was a successful treatment they would push it both to save their patients and also to own the libs. Why hasn’t that happened?
