Members of a densely packed crowd surged toward a stage and were crushed against each other at a Houston music festival Friday night, killing at least eight people and injuring scores of others, witnesses and officials said.
People there described being increasingly squeezed in the minutes before Scott's performance began, and then feeling crushed and seeing others pass out and scream in terror once his show started.

"The crowd was squishing me so much that I felt like I couldn't breathe," Emily Munguia, 22, told CNN. "I started screaming for help ... I felt so scared, like I was going to die."

"The amount of people I saw get hurt, passed out, bleeding, crying is crazy," Munguia said.

When Scott came onstage, "everything started to happen," audience member Anita Amper said.

"People just went berserk. I realized that people were dying," Amper, 22, told CNN.

The crowd "for whatever reason began to push and surge towards the front of the stage, which caused the people in the front to be compressed," Houston Fire Chief Sam Peña told CNN Saturday morning.

"People began to fall out, become unconscious," Peña said at a news conference.

You can find video footage on the Houston news networks. KPRC, KHOU are two. But yes, there is footage out there.

Was watching the 10 pm news last night and they said that multiple ambulances were dispatched to the concert but didn’t know why at the time. It was speculated that it was for drug overdoses.

I think they said 300+ were treated at a makeshift hospital near the concert. Most were treated and released.

I promise this shit will never happen at a sinic at a sinicalypse concert cuz when we eventually get there (and we will get there. Promise!) I foresee a schism in the avg iq of ppl who go to.my shows so they'll be too clever to crush themselves.

People literally couldn’t move in the crowd.

I highly doubt someone was covertly moving around the claustrophobic mass of people injecting drug cocktails into unsuspecting victims.

That is a preliminary defense that will be used against lawsuits.

Now could these people have knowingly ingested drugs, or fentynal laced drugs that wouldn’t be conducive to such an environment?

That’s a possibility.

The security guard passed out after being stuck with a needle in his neck and was given Naxalone (?) to combat it. That is what he said. Did he injest something? Could be. Should be easy to find the needle hole in his neck. I am sure there will be toxicology tests done on him and others. Not sure where the guard was in relation to where the people were who died.

I’m sure there were plenty of people there doing drugs…
