Love can't throw or run an offense. But he's got poise, heart and leadership in spades! Intangibles.

How do you make him stay with that cap hit?

It will be a new long term contract.

I hope you are wrong, and that was something that he declined this off-season. He also forced them to rework his deal in a way that would force them to cut him or trade him to a team of his choice.

Correct, but time heals some wounds and hopefully that is the case here. I think he likes some of the veterans they have gone out and signed during the season, something they haven't done in a long time to help fill some holes. Also, I do think it is important to him to play in Green Bay his entire career. Sometimes you have to upset the apple cart to get a little bit of what you want.

His actions in the past year has really made this obvious.

Agreed, he has stated how much he loves the fans and playing in Green Bay.

I too am surprised that he didn't say that he hates the fans and playing in Green Bay. Tom Brady was literally punching Patriots fans his last year in New England because of his anger towards them.

I'm 4 games in. I still can't identify what he does well. That's why I asked about his college play.

It's not just based on one game. He's been there for years. He looks the same in preseason, and the organization sure didn't seem ready to move on when Rodgers had his summer drama.

"This one falls on me, squarely," LaFleur said. "Certainly, for us to be 2-for-12 on third down, obviously didn't have a good enough plan for some of the zero pressures that they brought on us.

Nagy speak. Next we'll hear how Love needs to learn the why. As in why is he bouncing passed to wide open receivers.

4 games? Considering none of the starters played with him in the preseason, I find it extremely hard to evaluate some of those performances, and he also didn't play against a lot of 1's. I feel the same with Fields or any of the young quarterbacks, it does take a little time for most.

I hear you, but Lovr literally looked the same way during the preseason. There was nothing that I saw Love do that impressed me then or now. I've seen enough flashes from Fields in the preseason and his games as a starter to provide some hope. I can even identify what Fields does well.

Unlike the Favre era, the Packers haven't drafted a good or tradeable quarterback since Rodgers arrived. They've spent some high picks on them too.

I saw a QB that struggled with some decision making in the preseason that locked into receivers, I do think he has a strong arm, but not sure of his ability to progress thru receivers. They blitzed the shit out of him yesterday and Lafleur probably had one of his worst games as a coach and didn't help protect him.

He appeared to be going through his progressions when he didn't have happy feet, he was just inaccurate. I didn't think he had a problem seeing the field.

It's probably better to wipe everything away from yesterday except for the Titans and 2nd half for Baltimore. It was a league wide dumpster fire. Nothing can be gleaned from Sunday. And tonight will be worse.

Isn't it amazing that LaFleur's poor coaching coincided with Rodgers' absence?

If I were the Pack, I'd be very careful about turning the team over to this guy.

His reputation as a good coach is a product of Rodgers' good quarterbacking; Rodgers' good quarterbacking is not a product of his coaching.

I don't think Rodgers feels that way at all. Lafleur didn't have his best game, it happens.

Actually, to even fucking think Fields is better than Love at this point is laughable. My God

Fields has had significantly more starts and snaps.
