It's the first rule you learn about meetings at work: re-package something someone else has said using different words. Then watch the heads nod.

Andy: What if we changed our outgoing answering machine message so it just has a little more zing and a little more pep.

Michael Scott: Zing and pep. See that's- those are the kind of words we're looking for. Yes.

Jim Halpert: What about if we did an even newer voicemail message that had even more zing and pep.

Michael Scott: Now we're thinking. I like this.

Pathetic.

The Bears are coming out of hibernation, my friend.

If they beat the Ravens, I predict that they will finish with no fewer than 9 wins for the season and thus should make the playoffs.

Now then, the obvious question is this: Will they beat the Ravens?

I say yes.

I too would like to borrow Nas' rose colored Bears goggles, but I just can't do it. In fact, not only to I think the Bears lose Sunday, I think they lose in Detroit on Thanksgiving. I do expect Fields to continue to progress, but even a Herculean effort on his part I do not think results in MANY more W's this season.

Even if the Bears do shock the league and finish 9-8, with losses already to the Rams, Bucs, Packers, and 49ers, they aren't going to hold any tiebreakers over legit NFC teams.

The bears front seven is capable of shutting down lamar running early but it seems unlikely in the late game. I expect at least one if not two passing TDs to andrews. A bomb to marquise vs vildor seems more than likely and its where harbaugh should focus his gameplan if the ravens arent already up by two scores. Fields is exciting but i just dont see the bears outscoring baltimore.

Nagy should be fired simply because of the way he handled/handles training camp/preseason. For the second or third consecutive year, nothing the Bears worked on offensively during those 6 or 7 weeks ultimately mattered for the team. They came away with no staple plays, no core offensive identity, and no ability to execute on a consistent basis. Now contrast Nagy's use of training camp to Belicheck's.

The skids are now greased for his exit.

Alternatively, the excuse about injuries causing a bad season is also available.

Which do you think George and Teddy will use at the end of the year?

Ultimately, I think it's Fields call. If he thinks that Nagy should stay then he does. If he doesn't, then he and Pace are gone.

The last time we let the young QB hire the coach, we got Trestman.

Sorry Seacrest, you no longer own the stupidest take in board history.

After they fired Lovie, Jay Cutler actively sat in on interviews for the replacement. Let the QB worry about being an NFL QB.

Cutler sitting in an interview is not the same thing as "letting him hire the coach."

Fucking genius.

He doesn't pick the new one but he gets to say if he thinks Nagy is good for him.

A quarterback should have no say on whether the coach stays/goes or the next coach. Just like you shouldn't be let out of the house without an ankle monitor.

As I've had national sports debate shows instead of the news all week, one trend has emerged. Except for Mike Wilbon, the narrative seems to be changing to credit Nagy and Lazor for the alleged steady improvements. I'm starting to think they all get another year if this continues

Did this happen with Cutler and Trestman like you claimed it did? This also goes to show how stupid you are as a QB of the Rodgers-Brady-Peyton Manning ilk absolutely can and should have a say in who their coach is.

Now Fields is Rodgers-Brady-Peyton Manning. Jesus, unhinged.

We don't need Fields opinion. Nagy is a dufus that will roadblock his career. Now study the playbook.

Dude. YOU are the one who said Cutler hired Trestman.

Log off for a while. We don't set the bar real high for you here, but this thread is particularly rough for you.

Cutler absolutely had input on hiring Trestman. What was the weight of the input? Even a tiny ounce of input is too much. It was all over the news. You must have been busy putting fart in jars. Loser.
