Tough being the guy that replaces The Guy.

Now do they bring back The Guy's son to replace the guy who replaced The Guy?

Now seems as good a time as any. I watched zero South Carolina football this year so no idea if he’s a good coach, but might as well move now just in case he’s good and ends up sticking.

Who wants to live in Blacksburg?

There's no doubt. Frankly once they blew the Red River game, I thought that the clock on him started. And that Mack Brown started laughing.

Texas is like a few schools in whereas their fanbases need to realize this isn't 30 years ago.

It's what made all of the furor over Nebraska hiring Scott Frost funny.

Or the entire ACC & Big 12, including Oklahoma

Tex-ass is garbage in the weak Big 12, can't wait to see them get their doors blown off week in week out in the SEC. :upsidedownhorns:

Yeah that's why even though I don't love Brian Kelly I doubt ND will get anybody better.

Kelly is probably a top 5-10 coach in CFB.

But just like the sport, there’s a gigantic gap between the top few and everybody else.

Sure seems that way. Assembling a competent staff and recruiting--Kelly is better than I thought he'd be, but Holtz was way ahead of Kelly in those areas.

I thought ND was Urban's dream job. I know their bar isn't as high as its been but there is no way they are going to lower it to Urban levels.

They lowered it for Holtz, Moeller and in defense of Kelly.

They still get all the talent they want and can walk into any living room in the country to compete. That's why a good coach should be able to turn things around. I think they just have a culture of entitlement that makes their players soft.

Seems like a contract they’ll regret. Think it’s the second highest in te sport behind Saban? Two alums apparently ponied up the cash. Just crazy.

One rumor has it that they're still upset for not similarly putting up cash for his former boss Nick Saban.

The extension is certainly paying off today.

I’m not kidding the refs did not call this a TD, and were spotting the ball for 2nd down until Arkansas started screaming for a replay.
