Identify small things that make you feel good and maximize those. Like watching the bears when they win? Treat every game like the superbowl, being grateful even if they lose. Like driving your car? Join a local race track club and take it on spectator time trials. Like eating ass? Find a willing girl and eat it like sweets on halloween even if it tastes like candycorn. Life is easy when you enjoy the small stuff.

I like when my nephews and niece are happy.

I also like playing sports with them. My sister has a big yard. I always like playing sports with the boys. Cuz I miss it and it's the only time I get to do it. The boys like it too. But they don't realize I like it more then them.

It's a simple thing. But that makes me happy.

Sometimes I like to be a goof. Sometimes I'm serious. You should know me by now.

Every day is one day closer to death. I don't mean that in a dour way.

But, if you really think about it, what are the things you think about that you feel like you'll get to in time.

Don't wait. Act like every day is precious.

That's your own happiness. No one can tell you what that is.

I'm gonna brag.

So I'm playing football with my 12 year old nephew and his friends a couple weeks ago. I'm all time QB for both teams. Two hand touch. 4 thousand to rush me.

Right before I was about to be touched I lept on my back foot and threw a 40 yard dime, on the fucking money, to my nephew. He caught it for the TD. Perfect pass. It was a hell of a play.

Doing that brings back memories of being a kid.

I got one of those too.

Post-college Turkey Bowl. Schmitty and I did a pump-fake screen because the DB didn't think I had the arm to beat him.

Perfect Crowton step-back screen, except, unlike Crowton we didn't throw a 1-yard screen, Schmitty released after the fake and I threw a perfect shot about 25 yards on the go route on stride for a TD.

Glory days. They'll pass you by.

I guess. I've been having a 2/3 life crisis for about 4 years. Dyed my hair, went back to school, a few other things. I have never and probably can't set goals and the last 2 years have been brutal. I think time passed me by in a lot of ways when I was doing other things and now it just kind of sucks. And I don't think anything will ever get better.

Don't think that way. I'm absolutely sure you're a good mother and wife. That's important. Always realize that.

Raising my kids gives me the most joy in life. Seeing things thru their eyes is like reliving them. For example, when they were little the Disney trips were magic. My son’s baseball games are so much better than any MLB game I’ve ever been to.

Now that they’re in their teens, I view my purpose in life is to enable them to become productive members of society. They will be all that is left of my presence here on earth once I bite it.

That said, I think the happiest people I meet are born-again Christians (I am not one). They seem to have a peace about them knowing there is something better waiting for them after death.

I will assume your judgement is correct. Come to terms with the reality of it and accept it. Find peace within those confines. Some kids have a giant yard to play in, some have a small yard, some have nothing but a apartment balcony. They are all equally content. Because they don't know any better.

It has more to do with not being alone in your head.

I could never go back to that, even if I knew Heaven was waiting for me.
