Sorta innnneresting how the film doesn't really mention the fact that the As were somehow able to have a good team with prime Miguel Tejada, Eric Chavez, Barry Zito, Mark Mulder, and Tim Hudson on the roster.

It was all Scott Hatteberg and Chad Bradford

It's like saying that the Golden State Warriors used Silicon Valley leadership strategies and analytics to be successful. No, they used Steph Curry making every three and Kevin Durant signing under market value. I'm sure it didn't hurt to pretend to be Steve Jobs, though.

I can't say I didn't enjoy it. The diet-Friday Night Lights score also helped.

It's a shame we never got a sequel where they actually win something that matters.

Was he the one who noticed the good players were barely mentioned?

reading the book, it is pretty clear Michael Lewis had a non platonic crush on Beane.

Hawk was 100% correct. If the White Sox had a movie made about them about making the playoffs you would be mocking it for the rest of your life.

Agreed, they really focused a lot on Scott Hatteberg and Chad Bradford...still....it's a great movie. If I find it on through passing, I watch.

It's still hilarious at the end of the movie they had to say "Two years later, the Red Sox won their first World Series since 1918 embracing the philosophy championed in Oakland. Billy is still trying to win the last game of the season."

Congrats Oakland on helping another team win the World Series!
