Possibly, but no one can shoot and there looks to be a serious lack of leadership on the court, despite having some super-seniors. They also looked gassed at times. Da'Monte looked older than his dad.

Serious lack of coaching on the sidelines as well.

I think Hawkins could be something I just don't know if it will come soon enough for this year.

Curbelo is good but still wildly undisciplined. Slow down. Not everything has to be at 11 all the time.

Trent is good. He had a bad game. He will show up before the year is over.

But they will not string together 12 wins unless something changes.

Does DePaul still have to take a bus for an hour to get to their home court or do they still play in the gym with the running track above it while old guys get their 1k fitness run in during game time?

Yeah, Illinois is not as good this year as they were last year. They lost their best player to the Bulls.

Their top 10 first round NBA talent played last night

The results of tonight's game determines if Weber should still be coaching the Illini or not.

I didn't say he was a good recruiter.

I never kissed him. Would have. Never had the opportunity.

Just had lunch with him a few times. Didn't need to get that close.

Good to see Bruce again.

I do too. A nice guy but too nice for the Major conferences.

Really is not a heavyweight coach. More of a coach for mid-Majors.

Look at Bruce with that wild flowing white hair.

He looks a lot older these days.

Corbello is like a clone of Ayo in how he plays.

Respectfully, no he's isn't.

Ayo was a one-man driving/scoring machine and worked on his 3 game. Ironic that the thing he has brought to the Bulls is spot-up shooting because that was the weakest aspect of his game in college.

Curbelo is a gifted ball-handler, plays much smaller, and creates for others but not himself. The pivot move is cool but people are catching on and is not as effective as Ayo just taking it hard to the rim and elevating.

Just got a private message on Snapchat from a high-level basketball coach in the state of Kansas (no, not Bruce Webber; someone much more distinguished) and, apparently, the coaches around the nation are shaking in their boots at this resurgent, resilient Illini team. Don't be surprised to see a former Illini coach angle for this job due to the "sheer wealth of talent (the Illini) have."

You heard it here first.

The talent coming is impressive.

Not worried about the Illini basketball program.

Still carrying a torch for Weber a decade after he was run out of town, eh?

Weber wasn't a good coach or a good man; he was a buzzard who feasted on Bill Self's leavings before making his gradual descent into the obscurity he so richly deserves. I'm sure Jamar Smith loves him, though. Brian Carlwell on the other hand...

K State looked at times like 6 year olds throwing two handers over one shoulder at the net. Absolutely brutal. Typical Weber garbage offense. Maybe someone will burn down The Custard Cup tonight.

I think Kofi has made 20 of his last 25 from the field.

This team is on fumes.

They got the flu.

Get that? Whole team got the flu.
