Is this a sign that Pace is going to keep his job?

That is what worries me in all of this. I would prefer just waiting til end of the season and send both of them packing

The new rules on coach hiring really makes things complicated. It looks like you can't interview employed GM candidates until the season is over. You can interview head coaches with two weeks left in the season. Pace may keep his job for a year just to have continuity in that.
