Not good news on Bak that he had to have a follow up procedure, he may not play this year. Also, I find it funny how none of the local writers new anything about this, they cover for this team so much.

While I don't doubt that many of the writers willingly cover for the team, I fail to see how hiding this would be to anyone's benefit.

My point is, if they are so Packers "Insiders", why the hell do they never break a story?

I don’t think that’s specific to the Packers. The closest we’ve gotten to a locally broken story in Chicago in many years was from the Patch…which most now seem to dispute.

Why would they, who would want to threaten to lose a perfectly comfy job?

I am fairly certain he was joking on the Mcafee show, and now it seems Florio is running with it.

Seemed real enough that he went into the locker room early for treatment, and had Love take the final kneel down of the half.

He is injured, and it is his pinky. I have a feeling that they wanted whatever extra time they could to get the needle to his toe. My point was, I am not believing a thing in regards to "Covid Toe"

Really good win yesterday and extremely happy to be 9-3 and headed to the bye week. Hopefully we can get some of the walking wounded back for the stretch run.

Really hoping Murray and Hopkins revert back to early season form but not sure now. That would have been a good match.

Yes another championship where the only thing I'd hope for is an asteroid vaporizing the field. Keep them.

Hah, when the Bears suck (always) I just cheer for the biggest story line. That would be the best story line for me. It’s not like I can get excited about the Titans or Packers Super Bowl match up anyway.

Do I really need more State Farm Aaron shoved down my throat?

I'm sure Aaron would love to have Denis shoved down his throat.

Indeed. Of course, they got the benefit of an Adams catch that was not a catch and a bullshit offsides call on a Rams punt, but they didn't need those to dominate yesterday.

How do you quantify serious contenders and please list yours so that we have them for the rest of the year?

You guys play the Rams, Cardinals, Ravens, and Chiefs this year. You'll go under 500 against them or 500 at best.

2-1 to date.

Yeah I was happy to come out with a W and feel like they deserved it. It was a solid coaching effort on both sides of the ball.

I am getting tired of watching Lazard drop every contested pass though. That's where OBJ would have really helped. I hoped ESB would emerge as the size guy and push Lazard down to the 4th option but I suspect we are stuck with this lineup for the rest of the season. And when the playoffs roll around Crosby has to be a concern. Imagine the pressure when he is brought out to win a game at the end.

Crosby was fine yesterday and clanks the one off of the goal post. I will say, this long snapper is absolute garbage. Some of the snaps to our holder and punter are just not what a NFL Long Snapper should be doing.

I thought he was shaky on a couple of kicks that he made as well. He seems like he's got the yips. Maybe the bye will help and I know he's earned plenty of rope but the kicker should not be one of the concerns heading into the playoffs.

https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2021/12/9 ... on-rodgers

Quote:
Of Green Bay’s five returning All-Pro players last year, three have barely been on the field. Star cornerback Jaire Alexander hasn’t played since Week 4, top pass rusher Za’Darius Smith hasn’t played since Week 1, and left tackle David Bakhtiari—perhaps the best blindside protector in football—hasn’t played at all. Bakhtiari’s replacement, left guard Elgton Jenkins, tore his ACL two weeks ago. As if that wasn’t enough reshuffling, the Packers replaced All-Pro center Corey Linsley this offseason with rookie center Josh Myers, and then Myers went to injured reserve with a knee injury in mid-October.

Quote:
According to the injury tracking website Man Games Lost, the Packers are tied alongside the Ravens as the most injured team in the NFL this season in terms of games missed by high-impact players.

Quote:
Rodgers has heavily implied this season is his last with the Packers. But after starting 9-3 despite all these injuries and now having three All-Pro-caliber players returning soon, this season might be proof that Gutekunst has made Green Bay the place for Rodgers to stay even if the team doesn’t win the Super Bowl this season. The Packers will probably win their third consecutive division title. LaFleur has won 80 percent of his games as a head coach, which, if he retired tomorrow, would rank no. 1 all time.

Most importantly, the Packers front office led by Gutekunst and his boss, team president Mark Murphy, has taken steps to appease Rodgers, like trading for his friend Randall Cobb. Green Bay’s front office found the pieces to patch together a 9-3 start despite an injury-ravaged team. And it renegotiated Rodgers’s deal to allow him to hit free agency in the spring of 2023—and, of course, his agent could pursue a trade this coming offseason. But would Denver, San Francisco, Las Vegas, or another team really provide a better place for Rodgers to pursue a title? If Rodgers can’t get it done in Green Bay, what exactly is he looking for? Gutekunst’s Packers may not be exactly what Rodgers wants, but they seem to have what he needs.

He could be successful a lot of places. He's really fucking good. Article does a nice job of laying out why he's more likely to be successful in GB than anywhere else currently.
