These always start so awkwardly. Allison Tolman is good, Ann Dowd is good, Gabrielle Union is good but Kathryn Hahn and Jennifer Aniston…not good.

Funny to see Smartless cohosts Bateman & Arnett pretty much drinky and mailing it in.

I turned in at the beginning and didn't recognize anyone but Aniston.

Who didn't look as well as the original Tootie or Blair.

They’ve been great.

But you know…the 80s-ized ads have been the best part. Alfonso is the MVP of the night.

Lisa Whelchel. Still would.

She looks better now than then.

Should have just let her do it. But she’s too religious to be on TV.

I've always really liked him too. He had a couple missteps probably but there is something really likable about him. Geoffrey from Fresh Prince seems awesome too.

Did you watch Facts of Life?

I would love for this thing they tapped into tonight to continue.

I did watch Facts of Life.

I only had 4 channels.

This has not been good though.

Did your parents ever get cable? I think mine did when I was a sophomore in college.

This was great in it's own way. I had a very Noisewaterian conversation with my kids about 80s sitcoms.

Cable was never an option.

After I went to college Dad got a satellite dish.

I want to first of all give credit to the Mrs. Garrett actress because she got everything down pretty perfectly.

Secondly, as I was watching the Facts Of Life show and they hit that break right before the wrap up part, I had the same thought as I did the first time I watched Facts Of Life which was "ugh, another 10 minutes of this!" I enjoyed Lithgow carrying Kevin Hart across the room a couple of times. I guess as long as the old fart is still alive, keep making em. They really aren't a bad thing to do once a year in December for two shows.

i do like this becoming a tradition, actually. something to look forward to in kicking off the holiday season. "diff'rent strokes" was definitely the stronger of the two and i've noticed that the second show usually flows better.

the aviation gin commercial was astounding. i kinda hope they replay it sometime. felt a bit like a superbowl commercial.

i enjoyed it for the most part.

I think they adjusted her school uniform to be sold at Lane Bryant.

Tough crowd, Mike. She's almost 60 years-old.

She's never been one of those skeleton models.

I agree with W_Z that is started very slowly with too much applause for anybody that walked in. It took me 5 minutes to figure out that was Jon Stewart. But all the intros made it very disjointed. There were fewer characters with Diff'rent Strokes so I think they got to the story quicker.

It was alright. Something different. Once a year sounds right. I'd watch the next one out of curiosity. There were some funny moments. Hearing Arnold swear was pretty funny.

It was mildly funny and I enjoy the "live" aspect of it so that you can see some of these stars get caught up flubbing their lines occasionally. Ms Garrett was very well done and I was definitely impressed that Lithgow could still pull off the physical comedy. Having Snoop show up was a funny surprise and of course at the end when Arnold asks Willis why his friend smelled like weed was funny. I never set the expectations for these things really high but it seems like the actors enjoy it and with the old school commercials playing it makes for a senseless and fun 90 minutes.

I caught the last 15 minutes. It was OK. Wayans being so tall and Hart being so short kind of made their characters believable.

Jimmy Kimmel produces these under a special deal with ABC so as long as they decide to keep him on his horrible late night show, he will have this as an annuity. It is probably in his late night contract.

I still don't think it was a great idea to fill both casts with old coots playing young teens. Give some young people a chance to break in. Ain't nobody tuning in specifically for Jennifer Anniston or Kevin Hart, anyway.

I share the last name with someone in the original cast of The Facts of Life and somehow we are connected on Facebook. She was reliving her glory days with the hausfraus of Facebook. I preferred the show when they had the larger, original cast before scaling it down to the 4 and Mrs. Garrett.

It seems like Welcome Back Kotter would be an easy one to recreate.Sanford and Son, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley too.

If Norman Lear is still alive next year, I'd bet they'd do Maude and One Day At A Time with some strong female characters.

I'm surprised they haven't done them already, to be honest.

Welcome Back Kotter and Happy Days would be great.

WKRP would be a good one but not everybody loved that show as much as these.
