His hands were still clenched on his stick but he didn’t have the stick. Caught him right on the chin.

That was great

Yaaaay Toews.

What's behind them on the bench with all the numbers on it?

Captain speaks pretty good French.

Horrible decision by Lankinen to play that puck behind the net.

Ehh. Goalies go to play it all the time. Bad bounce. They certainly could have used the point. Too bad. I still enjoy watching but have come to expect very little.

This team has become fun to watch again.
Picked up tickets to the Colorado game with the Fleury flash sale. 29 bucks, can't beat that.
Except for freebies of course.

Is it time to trade Kane?

What could be had? I've heard a rumor of the Rangers and a nice haul back.

In that rumor, how much of Kane’s salary is retained?

I’d do it if Kane agreed to it.

If you retain Kane’s salary and cap hit it is stupid. You gain nothing. A whole generation would hate them like when Hull went.

He only has the rest of this year and next year on his contract and cap hit. His actual salary is on a downward sliding scale, so although the annual cap hit is $10.5M, the actual salary and signing bonus money is $6.9M, so the financial pain would not last long.

He still performs at a high level, and at 32 isn't far over-the-hill just yet.

I don't think the fan base would be as angry trading him now as opposed to maybe 3-4 years ago. He still has enough value to bring back a nice haul. I'm sure a team like the Rangers would be thrilled to put him together with Panarin.

I would probably establish the future front office before making any large scale moves like that. Kane has been a pretty boring watch this year but his line is always changing and he has somehow just become an assist machine instead of the prolific shooter we are used to.

Just remember when the Hawks were making trades for Vermette and Ladd....It would be 20 fold for a team to get Kane. I think you could easily get a few guys plus a 1st rd pick out of this. Kakko would be a piece.

So as I am watching the Hawk/Preds extended highlights, because why would anyone watch a Hawks game if they didn't have to?, I noticed Nashville led 3-0 in the 1st period while the Hawks were outshooting them something like 15-4. WTF?

i dont know shit about hockey but as a kid i was up in section M rallying around the home team like DEEEE-TROIT sucks and i think savard almost got me $50 in the next goal pool cuz he busted out a spin-o-rama but the older peeps only let me in their little pre-fantasy-football game once and i think i won $30 and was never allowed to play again. #storyofmylife eh?

They had their third and fourth string goalies playing. MAF and Lankinan are out due to Covid.
