After reading the entire story, the timing of this makes it complete eyewash. He was fired with only 1 day remaining on their shooting schedule for the season. They easily have enough footage of him to complete whatever they need to complete for the series finale. There is no way in hell this show is coming back for a 10th season. There are no story lines left and Adam is old which makes the entire premise of the show no longer work. The post high school character development for the other kids was atrocious and Adam would be no different.

My time tested rule of thumb is that if a brand new sit com can't manage to be funny in the first 5 or 10 minutes then that is a huge indication that its never going to be funny.
Some of my favorite sitcoms of all time were pretty bad the first episode.

What sitcoms?

Haven't watched this show in a couple of years as it had gone downhill quite a bit. This story doesn't really surprise me that much other than the portion about him yelling at a stand in.

There are good shows on network just as any other platform

Looks like the crew succeeded in ousting Jeff Garlin over his "verbal harassment" (sounds like they didn't like hearing the word vagina). Imagine how triggered they would have been on the set of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I'm not a huge fan of Garlin away from CYE, but I hope these idiots are happy in the unemployment line.

It sounds like he cursed some people out in the process as well. That show has been on the air for a while, and my guess is people got tired of dealing with it. It's 2021. If you want to shout "vagina," curse people out in the workplace, and keep your job, you better be absolutely indispensable.

He is indispensable to the show, especially with Pops dead but as others have said, that show is well past the point of running its course

Any show with kid actors as centerpieces has a limited shelf life. The daughter has to be pushing 30

I would have assumed it was already on its last year. WTH they already tried a spin off with the older kid’s girlfriend as a teacher at the school.
