You good is usually a phrase people use to check on people they know after something traumatic has happened. Could be anything. Altercation with another person out in the street. Death in the Family. Breakup with their girlfriend or wife. Loss of a job.
A "You good" always just seems to make things feel just a little bit better for some reason.
