Jesse James is on his seventh year and never has had a year as good as what Kmet projects for this year. I don't think he is much better than Kmet at blocking today.

I think many projected him to be like Kyle Rudolph and their careers are shaping up as so. Rudolph is in his 11th year and made a pro bowl.

I think you guys have unreasonable understanding for the TE situation for most of the teams in the league. There are something like 3 dependably great players, maybe another 3 who have on and off years and then a lot of guys like Kmet.

Catch rate is just based on targets, though. Not useless, but not illustrative of as much if one QB throws it to your hands every time and one throws it into the ground, not that Christian Ponder was a good QB. Kmet's on the roster now, so it doesn't really matter where he was drafted any more, just if he's good enough to play.

While I’m not thrilled with Kmet, Rudolph didn’t have an old man lined up next to him who inexplicably gets just about every red zone target.

Its not unreasonable to expect Kmet to hang onto a ball that hits his hands. This doesnt happen enough for a mid second round pick.

This is your typical FavreFan "scouting the stat line analysis ". He didn't do a damn thing last night outside of a drop(btw he doesnt just drop passes, he somehow drops/tips them in the air to be intercepted)...got tackled by DBs while breaking 0 tackles. He racked up some garbage time yards in the 4th when the Vikings were in prevent.
