seems like there's a higher incidence of "long covid" among athletes who contract the disease than in the general population. or the gen pop doesn't notice it b/c they aren't trying to run wind sprints daily.

Somehow the really big players aren't having the same problems.

Nope, have a co-worker that was hospitalized, she still is trying to get the last bit of pneumonia out of her lungs but is self treating with nebs and prednisone to get through shifts.

It is just that some people are involved in professions that allow them to opt out of working. Too bad that the A-Rob era ends with a whimper, they guy could have possibly owned the Bears all time receiving yards record, but instead falls in with guys like Alshon and Marshall that had good short term runs with the team, but as has been the history of the franchise at the WR position, there has never been any long term quality at the position.

I think his situation had as much to do with the Bears as him, but he is going to have some explaining to do to teams as a free agent.

His numbers outside of this year look excellent. Sophisticated observers saw there was a troubling lack of fight in his game even before this year.

Sucks. I like Robinson too -but he’s failed to connect with Fields and that’s probably another reason to waive goodbye. Not going to put 100% of the blame for that on him but still.. I do wonder what he’ll end up commanding as a free agent this off season, I can’t see anyone paying him like he thinks the Bears should. He just doesn’t produce enough to land that kind of money, which makes losing him sting a little more.

Who knows, maybe if a coaching/GM move is made and the market isn’t where he thinks it should be he can be convinced to stay, but I doubt it.

He's definitely going to regret not taking whatever deal the Bears were offering. I'd be surprised if he gets more than $10m per year.

I'm not sure that is a fair assessment of him.

He lost a number of 50/50 balls last year because he just wasn't strong enough physically.

He also lost the Lions game last year because of complete stupidity.

It was clear that he wasn't all in this year. It was also clear to me that he wasn't a guy that you want to pay #1 WR money to.

We should get a compensatory pick for him and a few of the other vets.

The next HC/GM will need as much draft capital and cap space as possible to start rebuilding the roster.

Yeah, we should get a 3rd or 4th for him. I'm cool with that. We really need to find a true #1 WR.

Has not played his last game, although you wouldn’t know he’s out there yet.

What a bullshit way to just give up on a route. No effort.

I have now reached the point with him that he has reached with the Bears where I wouldn't want him back at any price.

He's been giving up on routes all year (when he hasn't been hurt)

After coasting all year, it would be a shame if he got hurt in the last game of the year.

After catching balls from scrubs and/or inexperienced QBs his whole career, A-Rob will sign with KC next year where he'll catch passes from Christian Ponder after Mahomes goes down with an ACL.
