Olin will be on the Score at 2:40 CDT to respond to George!

This is gonna be great theater reminiscent of the early Score, especially North's war on Michael McCaskey.

So the offer was made to Hiestand, not Olin?

That's not the impression Olin gave when he originally told the story.

Olin said that Hiestand is the one that came to him with the offer from the Bears. That is what he is talking about

On the radio he said hiestand made the offer to him (Olin). In the tweet I think Olin is saying Hiestand confirmed the offer Olin described on the radio.

From what Olin said on Football Aftershow yesterday, Harry wanted Olin around to help and the Bears offer was $15hr because he had no coaching experience.

Not sure what Olin would have to gain by making something like that up out of thin air.

Can’t some enterprising young reporter just call Hiestand and confirm?

OK, thanks for clarifying.

Maybe, but it seemed like the whole thing was initiated by Hiestand, not Olin.

Because Olin cannot be any worse in making football decisions than the current executive are?

Something tells me this story will get buried by a much bigger story soon enough. We already know Bears brass is a shit show, this is just another story confirming that.

Whether he is a hothead or not really has nothing to do with this.

I think it is pretty reasonable for a player who played at a really high level to get a better offer than $15 an hour to be a consultant. I mean hell they paid a crap ton to Acorsi to do way less

It's easily a 15k -30k contract for two months or whatever during the off-season depending on the hours and requirements involved for a guy like Olin.

George made Olin important when he attacked him in a press conference called to announce the firing of Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace.

 The chairman of the Bears took time in a press conference to attack him and call him a liar.

I completely get why he is mad and sounds bitter.

Idk if it's true but team Olin here. As a rule it's bad form to throw former players under the bus. That's the rep Jerry Krause helped develop for the Bulls. No problem throwing people under the bus if you have evidence they're lying. Not the case here apparently.

Olin kind of whining here. He made an accusation, McCaskey called him a liar…let some independent person verify it and fuck off.

It's a problem because his credibility matters for his current and future prospects. If he wants to get deeper into media stuff or get into a front office then I'm sure this thing will annoy him.
