This morning they are running bits called "Joe Borchard Career Highlight". They consist of play-by-play of famous sports moments (Jordan beats Cleveland, Tyson bites Holyfield,etc.) with Borchard's name crudely dubbed in. Is that hilarious or what? It sounded like something my buddies and I did when we were 12. Totally lame. Boy Pappy, that $100,000 production team is really paying dividends! Could you have them play that Spaceball "whoa" drop a few more times, because it's really funny, and not the least bit annoying. What a fucking joke. I've heard better production values in a high school A/V class.

Gotta keep my thread alive. Pappy makes it easy. I just heard a 10 minute argument over Debbie Reynolds' fucking hair color. Huh? Now I'm listening to Fritzie's night on the town. You know, that segment Mitch told North to stop doing. What a fucking joke! This guy does whatever he wants, and answers to no one. Unbelievable!

I gotta agree with you A7X...North's guests are often horrible. What boggles my mind is that he seems to think everyone wants to hear from his buddies, business associates and has-been celebrities. Even actual celebrities such as William Peterson or Joe Mantegna are on too often and have little to offer.

Off the top of my head, a list of interviews which cause me to immediately flip the dial would include...Knuckles, Fritzy, Tom Dreesen, any rat pack descendant, comedians appearing at Zanies, members from bands that peaked in the 60's or 70's (particularly Chicago area bands that North grew up with), and restaurant or hotel owners/managers from one of Pappy's haunts.

I mentioned this before too. There is room for Fritzie on the station. He will nicely fit in as an entertainment/dining host or reporter. Two one hour shows a week, one on Wed or Thu night and one on Sunday night to wrap-up the weekend. Will need a guy to "drive the bus" and give him some abuse as well as hang out with him at these joints.
