I don't think they are much help, but that's just me.

I’ve been chewing exclusively during golf season for years. I’m going to try to go without in 2022. When a tin is like $8 and lasts one weekend and my wife is all over me about me losing my lower jaw it’s just not worth it anymore. I believe I’ve lost enough gum tissue as it is.

My oldest finally got here this morning with his Rottweiler. It's a great thing, but I keep worrying that she will eat the little dog we have here.

My son’s Rott is an 85 lb lapdog.

I know you all don't care but
So here is how hard my life sucks. No power till maybe tomorrow. Power fluctuations messed up my main PC. Hopefully the building management will pay for repairs and not too much data is lost(thank the Lord for the cloud ) bad thing is I did not back up all my 3d files. Very close/old friend is in Hospice. My shoulder feels like it is falling off

You don't have COVID, so you have that going for you!

Sorry about your friend....the rest, yeah it sucks, but those are solvable problems. Life's good man. Happy New Year!

Snowblower sucked up a yard sign yesterday morning. Pushed it up the driveway and unplugged the connector to the spark plug but I was still nervous as hell sticking my arms in there trying to get the blades un-jammed. Was able to cut the sign out with a utility knife and then unwound the metal frame. Worst part was that it was my own sign but somehow blew out of the ground and was covered in snow on my sidewalk.

My Aunt's second (and third) husband had a bad-ass International Cub Cadet lawn tractor that also had the snowblower attachment for winter. He thought it was a good idea to shove his good hand down the chute while the blower was running to clear a clog. I never knew there was a Halo-type brace for an arm; pins, screws, elastic bands and a bridge to put tension on the rebuilt tendons and ligaments after the bones were pinned back together.

My parents bought their first house fully furnished after the previous owner passed on. That included a very-early model Craftsman snow-thrower. Single stage, all steel, about a 18 inch cut with a three horse Briggs/Stratton. The recoil starter had been replaced with clothes line and a wooden handle, but Dad found out you could start it better with a half choke and stomp down on the impeller. That was all fine until I was caught trying to start it one day at about age five.

Such a simple machine, that was the first engine I tore down myself, about age eight. Put in new rings and a head gasket, but never got the carb right. I still struggle with carburetors today.

I feel like in the beginning of a mid life crisis. Hanging onto old stuff, buying things I always wanted but don’t need. Someone put up for sale on a local Facebook garage sale the exact Schwinn bmx bike I had in the early 80s as a yout. Absolutely nothing I need but I’ve actually spent time this morning imagining how fun it would be to ride around. How ridiculous would it be for a 46 year old man to ride a vintage bmx bike around? :(

My chain snapped in half and I had to push my bike six miles to get home.

That sucks. Nobody could come get you ?

Happened to me once up at Kettle Moraine. I wiped out on a wet slippery rock. The back tire spun then caught after the rock and the chain snapped. I was 5 miles into a 10 mile loop of crazy terrain. I was fucked.

Then some dude rides by on his single speed...those guys are nuts...but he stopped and had a chain fixing tool thingy. He had to shorten my chain up a few links to fix it. Took less than 5 minutes. Saved my ass.

My wife was working from home. I could have called her, but I figured I needed the workout anyway.

The way the chain snapped, I don't think it was repairable. I tossed in a the garbage.
