What’s the order? Keep in mind you only have 5 bucks to spend. Me, I’m getting four McDonald has brown and a sausage McMuffin no cheese. Pretty obvious choice.

Two spicy McChickens for $3, a dollar coke. And free medium fries through the app.

$4.28

I'd probably see if Arby's was doing a 5 for $5 promotion.

I don't think they do five any more. I think its 3. Still, that will get it done

I think you can squeeze in three McD's breakfast burritos and a large Coke under $5. The burritos have now shrunk to the size of a Cuban cigar, and are made up the night before, then microwaved.

BK will run 2/$4 on their croissanwiches, but gotta get a free water for under $5!

It always seems like fast food tax rate is 40%, for some reason.

Lunch/dinner order would be the 2 Whoppers, Jr. and drink, but menu pricing took out that option. I go government style, and get the 2/$6 Original Chicken+/or Whopper for $6 (yes, we spent over budget, but we spent less over budget than last year, so spending is down, in our logic).

We used to have a chain here called Hot-N-Now, drive-through only, they sold only hamburgers and cheeseburgers, fries and pop, no chicken or shakes or breakfast. Burgers were $0.39 and $0.49 each. $5 fed the shaper for two meals! My sons loved going to work on Saturday mornings with Daddy and getting Rotten-Chow for lunch at the shop while we de-conned Mom's minivan.

I remember the story of one winter night of extreme overconsumption, and a drunk drive-through at BK. They were offering $0.99 Whoppers, but I demanded a Double Whopper, instead of two sale-priced items. The order taker must not have wanted to wake up the manager for a register over-ride, and I got two $0.99 Whoppers instead of one $4.29 Double Whopper. I ate as much as I could on the drive home, then "took a quick nap" in the cab of the truck before resuming a night/day double of snow plowing and day job. I came out to the truck after work to find a half-eaten second Whopper on the floor. Of course, i ate the remnants right away.

Oh, how I long for the heady days of back-to-back-to-back 22 hour work days and nights, chain smoking and drinking while driving. Actually, I'm kinda surprised I lived through them.

Wow, got a little sini in me this AM!

I don't know if $5 would cover this and the tax, but this is a good choice.

Sausage mcmuffins are 2 for $2 at McDs. 4 of them and a large drink does the trick. Just need to bring my tax exempt card.

In college the tacos were $0.32. On a couple of Sundays I remember going in with two-three bucks of change.
