At what point in life did you go bald?

I found some from about 10-12 years ago that sort of fit this description. I thought damn I didn't remember it exactly being that way

I was at the eye doctor last year, last appointment of the day. Was sitting at the desk, waiting to get my new frames fitted, etc. and to pay my bill. They have three or four of these desks around and of course, lots of other mirrors around. While I'm sitting there waiting for them, I check a glimpse of a guy in one of the mirrors. Thought to myself, "didn't realize there was anyone else in this joint. And man, that guy is bald!" And then I noticed it was my shirt in the mirror...

If I grew my hair out, I would have plenty on the sides but am quite receding in the front and obviously, also sparse in the back. I should just shave it all off instead of keeping it as stubble.

I think around 28ish. But I religiously wore hats starting around 25.

I sincerely think that I jinxed myself one day when I was 20-21 and laughed at a balding young guy on Rush St. The second I stopped laughing I was filled with dread. :eye:

My dad used to do the "swirl your fringe all over your head like you're fooling people" technique, and I swore to myself I'd never do that. So at 28, at the first sign that the top of my head starting to thin, I shaved it all off and haven't looked back. I also realized what I thought was the first sign was probably closer to the fourth or fifth sign, as it was clear even if I wanted to grow it out again, very little on top was gonna happen.

I noticed when I was 18 that the thinking had started. I buzzed my head when I was 20 and lost a bet. And haven’t looked back. In winter hair get a little king on sides but I’m at the if I have to brush it it’s time to buzz it. On the flips side I don’t have a single grey hair on my scalp. Can’t say the same for the chin.

I get hot easily, a lot of it had to do with my previous work environments where it was really hot, but i normally shave my head in the summer, so i could care less if i'm completely bald

Receding rapidly in the front over the last six or seven years, not really thinning anywhere else. But it's a trait from my mom's father and her brothers so I've expected it.

As I roll in to my 63rd year I can honestly say there are still no signs of baldness. My dad lived to 81 and he never lost his hair.

That's my father and his brothers. None of them lost any hair until their early 80s. My dad's is thinning on top at almost 90, but he just got a haircut yesterday and it's basically impossible to notice.

I think late 20's is when I started thinning. Or at least noticed that I was receding. I remember going into my guy's shop around that time for a haircut with my ex. She used to make little comments here and there about me going. When she started the shit up that day my barber came up with the solution to the problem. The "Carlos Boozer" spraypaint job. I allowed the hairdresser to put that shit in my head and about 7 or 8 hours later the my bathtub was looking like "black gold" from all of that bullshit being in it.

The first time I was shot was at a grade school pal's house- we shot at a stack of tires with a pump BB gun from about 20 feet away, and tried to dodge the ricochets. I was not quick enough at about five pumps.

In high school, we would play BB tag at another friend's house: snowmobile helmet and suit, BB guns in the basement with the lights out. Stings prey bad when bent over and the suit got tight on my ass. Buddy shot out a window, and that ended that.

I lived with a buddy and his parents the last year of college until I got married 3 years later. His Dad had a flat top, and I got one to emulate him. My wife made me grow it out for the wedding, but it came in poorly, thin in the middle, and a couple years later I buzzed it off again. Not enough for a flat top anymore, so just short everywhere.

No gray hair and I have a full head of hair. My hair line has receded about 1/4 of an inch though. I doubt bald is going to happen. My head is too big to go bald.

 One of the last times I went to the barber, a woman who would later go to work on Empire with my guy approached me about a hair solution. I declined thinking that it was easier and less vain to just starting to use the #1 and 2 guards myself.

There's a gas station I go to that has a video screen showing the security video feed. It took awhile but I came to the reality that I have a large, balding bean. Thankfully I started thinning on the back though, so I could ignore it for awhile.

A little thinning in the front but otherwise I'm holding on. I still have my lining after all of these years. Said receding but thinning a little or a lot depending on the day of the month. I hit the sides with the bald fade from time to time and let the top do whatever its going to do and call it a day. I'm happy to have made this far at this point

Noticed it starting around 28.
I went and did the 90s hockey player Hair thing for a few months and then shaved it all off and never looked back.
I'm saving a ton on shampoo!
