At this point, I would give us about a 30% chance of making the postseason. Which is shitty, since we are still in first place, but I really don't see us going 3 - 1 for the rest of the season. Could happen... I hope it DOES happen... definitely a tall order.

You know what though? I'm fucking ecstatic that we are even in this position.

I think I might watch this game at a bar. Alone. I'll belly up to the bar, order my drinks, not say a word to anybody. I'll watch with an intense look. People at the bar will fear me.

I'll be back here for the post game. Maybe not if we lose.

Hawk: You know what hurts?

Hawk: That is total BS.

Hawk: Ya know, Frank, you can go to hell for lieing the same as you can for stealing.

Hawk: Fuck you DJ. (Oh Sorry, I was just on a roll of Hawk quotes that apply to Frank. Got carried away. This one doesn't apply)

Sox win tonight and go up 2 games in the loss column with 3 left. All will be fine.

I'm nervous about tonight's game at that "glorified pool room". While Gavin Floyd has pitched arguably the best of any White Sox starting pitcher, Kevin Slowey has been as good as Francisco Liriano for the Twins. I thought Mark Buehrle pitched well enough to win last night, but got little run support and was tagged with the hard luck loss...What was good enough simply won't do.

Sox get blown out tonight due to a poor outing by Floyd.

Indians come to play and take two of three from the Sox at home.

Season ovah!

Country, I hope you're wrong, but in that dump of a dome, nothing would surprise me. Gavin Floyd might be Gavin MacLeod out there tonight...There's no margin for error, and the wildcard is definitely out of the question.

Slowey has been OK. He's 1-2 against the Sox this year. We've hit him pretty well. ERA is in the low 5.00 against the Sox.

Trust me. He's hitable. Doesn't mean we will score cuz the last 2 Twins pitchers were hitable and we didn't score much on those two guys.

Floyd is the better pitcher in the game. We have the advantage tonight. Once again, it doesn't mean we'll win. Buehlre outpitched their starter yesterday. We lost.

I think we'll win. For whatever that's worth.

Jermaine Dye needs to come out of this slump of his. Even Ken Griffey Jr. has more HRs and RBI than Dye does for the month of September and Dye's played in 21 games to Griffey's 14. That's awful!!

If we offer Detroit Paul Konerko immeditely following the final out of the postseason, do you think they would just not show up for a potential make-up game?

Hawk is giving the records of each team, their home vs. road breakdown etc. and he says: "both teams are an identical 51-26 at home".

To which DJ responds: "well, something has to give tonight, then."

I couldn't make this stuff up. Has anyone ever seen DJ and Joe Carter in the same room at the same time? Me either.......... hmmmmmmm......
