How were they not? They were among the final four teams, they lost by 5 to TB, KC lost by 22 to TB. What's the argument that KC was better?

Are you unironically going full transitive property right now?

We're discussing playoff performances. How is this unfair to bring up?

They didn't play in the SB? At full strength, they lost at home?

And that accounts for a 17 point difference?

Packers didnt play at full strength either.

Why is it unfair to compare two separate games played under completely different circumstances?

Yes, when they just faced the same common opponent.

I've always heard home field is worth 3 points. You and Nas suggesting it's worth 17 is a new one to me.

Rodgers doesn't even win his SB if Cutler had guts or a Bears defender picks up a ball like Lovie taught them daily.

I’ve never heard anybody make a common opponent argument to put some lipstick on a loss, so I’m not quite sure how to respond.

I've never seen someone suggest home field is worth 17 points so we're on common ground.

And it's not putting lipstick on it. If the argument from Rick is that the Packers were terrible in the playoffs last year, it's certainly a fair rebuttal to that.

Well nobody said home field is worth 17 points, so I feel like I’m in a Brick argument only it’s Packer focused.

I’m not looking back more than a few posts but seems like he said they’re a good regular season team that fails in the playoffs, which is factually correct.

He said they are a bad team in the playoffs. True this year. Not true last year for the reasons i stated. Unless every team except the SB winner is “bad”

Nope. A pick 6 ended the game in the 4th. In fairness, Cutler usually threw several interceptions a half against the Packers.

2019 and 2021, sure. Last year they were a good team and played well and just fell a little short to the champions. I don’t consider that a choke job or underachieving. The SF losses this year and in 2019 were embarrassing. I dont think last year was.

Brady tried his hardest to give that game to the Packers, but they wouldn't take it. That was a bad performance by them in a sloppy game.

I don’t agree. Losing to the SB champs by 5 when they go on to beat the shit out of the vaunted Chiefs is fine. The SF losses were awful, last years loss sucked but was in no way embarrassing rxcrpt for LaFleurs FG call at the end

Last year Rodgers smoked Brady, GB defense was abysmal in the post season.

Last year the Bucs throttled the Pack early and Brady started turning it over to keep them in it. That game was on its way to the blowout they had earlier in the season when they met.

And this year our defense was great allowing only 6 offensive points and Rodgers lost the game for us. Always something different

Nah.. did you watch the game?

The bucs got lucky AF with a hail mary right before the half, GB D was shit... GB looked like the better team all game.

KC had a bad Super Bowl but was better throughout the whole season. Also KC is clearly a far better franchise. What are the odds that GB was better for a couple weeks?

Also, GB lost similarly to how the other teams in the NFC did in the playoffs. If that is the criteria then maybe Washington was as good as the Packers too.

The Great LaFleur offense also scored a total of one touchdown on the three turnovers. And on the last two, I believe the offense moved the ball a total of -8 yards. They would have won the game with a couple of field goals following those INTs.

I appreciate the fact that you still haven't answered the question if the goal of the Packers over the last decadr or so- with a Hall of Fame quarterback- is to Simply win 10 games a year and a division, or be the best team in the league and win the Super Bowl. The silence is deafening.

I figured it was a rhetorical question. Obviously the goal is to win the Super Bowl. I appreciate that I’ve been able to see my team win it twice. Maybe one day you’ll know what it feels like to see your team win one.

Using FF's logic, the Bears are pretty damn good! Beat the Super Bowl champs last year, and beat Burrow and the AFC Champs this year.

Better than the Packers!

Favre Fan is camped outside Lambeau awaiting delivery of the Lombardi Trophy because the Packers defeated both the Rams and the Bengals during the regular season. Champs!
