I grew up in a life without having ever gone to a movie theater.

The Peacemaker was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. Therefore The Peacemaker is a great movie to me. Ironic, no?

Michael Clayton is also a big movie to me, just because Clooney was the first action star I saw in a movie theater.

Much better than I thought it would be. Cena's more entertaining than The Rock, there I said it.

the fallout of having a good movie like "the suicide squad" is getting bombarded with spinoffs.

had GoT not have blown their own asshole out in the end, we'd have 3 spinoffs coming this year or next.

it's funny to me when i see fellowships, publishers, or agents declaring they want "fresh, new voices with original ideas". you mean like rebooting franchises by putting "the" before their titles? that's your extent, right?

Michael Clatyton is an overlooked movie. I didn't find it personally relatable but I have definitely known multiple Michael Claytons. The writer knew his subject matter.

that movie always Shawshanks me. And yes, there are a ton of guys like that out there. Being rich and having dumb kids, being rich but on the spectrum of mental illness, etc. Always need cleaners.

I think the one thing they had off about the story is that a guy like Clayton probably is also a person able to bring in clients. People think it's brilliant lawyering that makes you wealthy in the practice. The truth is 90% of the work can be done by anyone who has reached a certain level of competence. The worker bees are not the top earners. It is the people who bring in clients. If Clayton had a transferable book of business, he would be a guy with a big, corner office and not taking commands from a managing partner

As great as Cena has been, Vigilante is the best part imho.

Yeah he’s been a bright spot for sure

Idk where the show would be without that character

Great, great movie. I look at that movie and Erin Brockovich as bookends of anticapitalist cultural production under neoliberal hegemony. Both films detest the system but their moments of triumph are nevertheless contained by the very logic of capitalism they seek to subvert.

This show is extremely stupid yet very enjoyable.

Vigilante is fantastic.

might start this over the weekend. rewatched Suicide Squad redo last week.

I'm 3 days behind on the Olympics, but starting to get a bit burned out. Been watching nothing but Olympcis and Atlanta Hawks basketball for almost 2 weeks straight now.

Really enjoyed the finale.

Nice cameos as well. Not sure where they go for season 2 but they seem to know what they're doing so I'll go along for the ride again.

Yeah that finale was really fun.

I’m honestly surprised at how much I liked this show.

Finished the season the other night. Loved it. Great show, very funny, great characters. Wish Judo Master had a bigger part, he was great.

Love lvoe love the opening to this show. Usually I skip the opening after I've seen it once, but I watched this one every time. fits the show perfectly. If you watch closely you can see Judo Master pop up in the back ground for just a second or two.

They should let Gunn pick and choose any comic book material he wants and then just give him a blank check.

After GOTG 3 and the GOTG Christmas special I have a feeling Gunn is going to be big part of DC moving forward.
