Will they win the SB?

They will get a helluva lot closer than the Bears, I promise you that.

Harbaugh isn't being given full control to be slightly better than the rebuilding Bears. He's being hired to win a Super Bowl. He isn't rebuilding an organization.

They'll rebuild the organization and we'll have sustained success. They'll win a Super Bowl in the next 5 years if Fields isn't a bust.

So you are unwilling to apply the same standards of success you have of the Harbaugh hire to the Bears hire? That's suspect. I also don't think Harbaugh is going to get a Gruden deal. He's burned his bridges at Michigan by missing signing day and the NFL jobs are starting to fill. The Bears blew this one big time.

This signing day isn't that big of a deal to be honest, most of the big programs got all of their guys to sign during the early signing period.

Harbaugh isn't being hired for a rebuilding job. He's being hired to win a Super Bowl for a team that has elite offensive talent and Kirk Cousins. Winning a lot of games isn't enough for him at this stage in his career.

Eberflus is being hired to help rebuild a shit organization. He's not expected to win a lot of games for the next 2 years because the Bears are rebuilding and trying to clean up Nagy's mess. As Harbaugh is being fired, Eberflus will take the North and won't give it back for a decade.

The thought the new Vikings GM was going to kiss Wilf based on the way he gazed into his eyes for about 5 minutes. Wilf looked away and the creep kept staring at him. I'm not sure what's acceptable in Minnesota, but it made me uncomfortable.

Jim Harbaugh called Michigan to inform the school that, despite interviewing with the Vikings today, he will be returning to school for the 2022 season, sources tell ESPN. Michigan was, in the words of one source, “elated” to get Harbaugh’s decision.

I'll take Kwesi and whoever they hire, Graham or Morris. I like our chances.

Maybe we can get Bud Grant to come back for another year.

It will be interesting to hear what happened. There was a minority owner who didn't want him based on what happened with the 49ers. It could have been money or control, but supposedly he just wanted to coach and not be in control of the roster. Time will tell.

No it isn't. That's fucking great. Now I don't have to pretend to hate Harbaugh or pretend he's a worse hire than Eberflus.

I will hand it to you, you are doing a good job of trying to convince yourself this is a good hire.

If I were a Vikings fan I’d be a little nervous about the gm. The main knock on any analytics type is the paralysis-by-analysis thing.

That he needs multiple day long interviews and still can’t pull the trigger seems to fit that stereotype.

The only person giving Harbaugh a Mel Tucker contract is Caller Bob.

Could be. But, he worked on Wall Street prior to getting into the NFL and you can't dilly dally there. I think his lack of football bonafides is what kept him from getting the Bears gig and what would make someone nervous about him.

I'm relieved that his relationship with Harbaugh didn't result in Harbaugh becoming the Vikings coach. I was a little nervous about the Bears future. Now my cup is overflowing with kool-aid.

I don't blame you and we can play the underdog role that the Vikings are used to being in. Speaking of...I have underwear older than this guy. Not a fan of this hire. He screams Nagy to me.

Jim Harbaugh informed the Vikings he is staying at the University of Michigan. That forced the Vikings to look elsewhere.

They now are expected to hire Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell, according to multiple reports. The Vikings cannot make the hire official until after the Super Bowl on Feb. 13.

Now, coming to grips with this hire, we need to get a quality Defensive Coordinator and Vic Fangio would fit the bill. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm hearing that Harbaugh walked away and that it wasn't the Vikings who rejected him. More to come I am sure.

You'll have your own Nagy now. He's never called plays and he's riding the coattails of a offensive coach that has been successful.

That he wanted an nfl job and walked away from the Vikings makes me feel worse about the bears’ process.

Crazy. That Bears Kool-Aid should taste pretty good. If Rodgers indeed leaves Green Bay, the Lions should feel that they have a shot at the NFC North as well.

My wish is that the Vikings trade up and draft Malik Willis of Liberty as their franchise QB.

Didn't they already sign Alan Williams as DC?

The Bears did yes.

I don't think the Vikings have a DC yet.

The Vikings prove to be a dumber organization than the Bears by bringing him in an interview and then passing.

Now, the next coach of the Vikings has to coach against hypothetical Jim Harbaugh.
