The Bernie interview was good because it was Bernie. Other episodes are bad because of their respective guests. That's the way it goes.

There's a lot about l'affaire Joe Rogan that does not sit right with me, particularly the White House saying "Spotify could do even more" to stop him. Are these interviews where he sits back and lets covid denialists talk dangerous? They could be. They're no more dangerous than CNN ginning up a war with Russia.

From someone who's watched/listened to the JRE since episode #142 with Graham Hancock, this shit going on now is bananas.

When I see a 25 second compilation video of Rogan saying the N word over and over again with zero context and people on Twitter calling him a racist requesting you sign a petition to have Rogan removed from Spotify -- I have a hard time understanding who these people are and where they come from. I don't think Twitter is a real space.

No one turns down $100 million. You can buy a mansion and club in Austin and try to create a new mecca of comedy and still have a lot left over. He accepted that offer knowing he was keeping the podcast free for listeners. I do wonder now though, how things would have went if he just created his own platform and charged listeners $5 or $10 a month.

I also wonder if he regrets delving deep into this vaccine stuff. Could there be more antibody and alternative medicine research and studies, sure. Is Pfizer a business? Yes. I think he went too far down the rabbit hole though. I think that's his choice though, it's his show. It's also not surprising as he goes down rabbit holes all the time like he's done with Graham Hancock in a handful of episodes. Maybe he could've had Shane Gillis and Mark Normand on more? More comedians. His show though of course.
