I have no problem with any Illini fan besides tommy so I have no reason to trash to anyone but tommy if Purdue pulls the big upset tonight and beats Illinois.

I know Coleman Hawkins is in the Hall Of Fame of practice players but I’ve never seen him have an impactful 3 minute span in a game.

Yeah, it was worth a shot.

This a typical Illinois loss. Lose rhythm offensively and get in some foul issues.

Plummer is ridiculous.

He could be a new microwave in the NBA.

These teams have played some great ball this year.

They might play each other 4 times.

Underwood going out there and trying to grab Frazier was weird. It might have all been a ploy to get a timeout but he went out there and tried to pull him up and then walked away. I guess I thought Illinois had a training staff that would have been out there. Underwood seemed annoyed that one of his star players was writhing in pain.

Purdue is the best team in the country.

I said it months ago. I’m just sorry BRick doesn’t believe it.

Unlike tommy, you are a good person.

I don't think I'll ever see a player like Ivey again for us. He's actually improving in season at a pretty remarkable rate. If I were the Bulls, I would draft him.

The Illini didn't stop that run in the first half when they had an early run and when Ivey came on they had no chance. That guy has a chance to be really dynamic in the NBA I think. Purdue is very solid. They have great shooting, they work together with picks and moving the ball, and they have the size you need. Still think the Illini are dangerous to matchup against on a nightly basis but they were exposed. I found it promising at the end of the half when they closed the gap and took the lead with Cockburn on the bench though. I haven't watched as much college hoops this year as I'd like but the Illini look like a 4 seed which of course puts them in the crosshairs of an early NCAA exit.

Purdue is a great offensive team. Probably the best offensive team in the country. Remains to be seen if they can win a championship with the 149th ranked defensive efficency and 172nd ranked opponent's PPG in the country.

There are some teams out there who excel on both sides of the ball...

Purdue is fine defensively. Their defensive issues comes from some poor defensive performances in games they were blowing the other team out in.

They are undefeated when scoring 70+ in regulation and 2-3 in games where they score under 70 in regulation and they lost those games giving up 68, 70, and 74.

I'm not supposed to be posting, but this year has been hard on my guys from IU. I can't wait until they are back.

However, when Purdue is playing well, they look hard to beat. Jaden Ivey can be almost unstoppable, and when those white buys are hitting from 26 feet . . . damn. They all play D, too. I am surprised at how athletic Franken-edie is, tool. I mean, he's not exactly graceful, but he's more than just a guy who makes Kofi look tiny.

I wonder what Don Tiny is up to....

Yeah, they won again.

People probably had some other, less important, things going on.

If they play like that in the tourney they will lose in round one. Blew an 18 point lead with something like 15 turnovers in the second half. And it seems like all of the Illini teams in my lifetime can’t handle a press or make free throws in crunch time.

Rutgers gonna destroy Illinois tonight. I think Rutgers has a streak of 3 straight wins all vs ranked teams. Illinois is ranked.

Wasn't it time to start thinking about DePaul again?

You have to really suck to lose to Rutgers.

We also have this going for us...

DePaul 4-0 vs Big10 the past 3 seasons.
