Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won’t be wearing a Packers helmet again this season. It still remains to be seen whether he ever will again.

Rodgers has withdrawn from the Pro Bowl due to injury. He’ll be replaced by Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.

GB finally fired the ST coach. the replacement will be an important hire. There will be many punts next season in the post rodgers era so need to shore up those horrid special teams.

Using FF's logic, the Bears are pretty damn good! Beat the Super Bowl champs last year, and beat Burrow and the AFC Champs this year.

Better than the Packers!

Favre Fan is camped outside Lambeau awaiting delivery of the Lombardi Trophy because the Packers defeated both the Rams and the Bengals during the regular season. Champs!

People say that but I’m still going with young David Duchovny.

Some outlets claim Aaron Rodgers is jealous of Woodley's many male friends, even though they are "totally platonic."

There's a shock.

I'm sure he'll hire a new beard and the state of Wisconsin will continue to bury their head in the sand on Aaron's preferences

It's funny....this has been out there forever and no one in Wisconsin believes it...

Not that there's anything wrong with it.

2022 MVP Aaron Rodgers comments after accepting the well-deserved award:
“There was obviously some things that were voiced in the offseason, privately between (Gutekunst) and myself, and I’m just thankful for the response,” Rodgers said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “There was a lot of things that were done to make me feel really special and important, to the present, the past and the future of the franchise. And I’ve got to say that Russ and Brian especially had a big hand in that. And it didn’t go unnoticed.”

“…thankful for the Packers organization and the conversations that we had at the end of the season and just the way the whole season went,” Rodgers said, via Bill Huber of SI.com. “I was obviously frustrated about some things in the offseason. We had a ton of conversations and I just felt like there was so much growth, and I’m so thankful for that. I’m thankful for the relationships – with Brian as much as anybody.”

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Packers are willing to make Rodgers the NFL’s highest-paid quarterback on a per-year basis if he returns to Green Bay.

Rapoport suggested something like a two-year deal with void years to help with the salary cap in 2022. A big signing bonus spread over five years (assuming three void years) would drastically lower his cap number this year while also helping him become the game’s highest-paid player – a fitting financial arrangement for the NFL’s back-to-back MVP.

Rodgers, who turned 38 years old this past December, is still deciding his future in football. He can return, retire or request a trade.

Patrick Mahomes currently leads all quarterbacks with a contract that averages $45 million per season. Mahomes, Josh Allen Allen and Dak Prescott all average over $40 million per year.

Rodgers’ current deal (which expires following the 2022 season) averages $33.5 million. He’s set to count almost $47 million on the cap in 2022, but his cash flow during the year will be just under $28 million. And the Packers need to rework his deal to lower his cap number in 2022 and allow much-needed financial flexibility.

The once-fractured relationship between Rodgers and the Packers appears repaired. The player and team are in a “positive place,” per Rapoport, and the team’s willingness to commit to Rodgers in a significant way provides a clear path for him to return for 2022. There is “optimism and hope” from the team’s side that he will return.

So, considering all the variables in play, this could be the only question left: Will Rodgers decide to retire, or return for one more run in Green Bay?

I look forward to the Packers underachieving again next season with Rodgers at the helm.

Lamar Jackson better hope Rodgers doesn’t retire soon . Don’t think he wants that mantle though Mahomes is right there too .

The soft and declining Kansas City Chiefs will be sure to disappoint again next season.

Four straight AFC title games and two out of the last three Super Bowls is a pretty good run by the Chiefs. It's actually more than the Packers have done over the last twenty years

I'm glad the Packers are willing to spend $40 million+ on one player who will lead them to a 1-1 record at best in January 2023.

You adopted a similarly condescending tone when I told you that the Chiefs wouldn't win the AFC this year.

What you told me was that they were soft and declining. Plain and simple. That’s is the entire point of dispute. Claiming that “you” told anyone that the Chiefs wouldn’t win the AFC as if that’s some incredible insight is the height of condescension. Frankly I kind of thought the Bills would win it all and probably lean that way next year too, FWIW.

So you are disputing the idea that the Chiefs are declining?

Two years ago: Super Bowl Champions
One year ago: Lost Super Bowl
This year: Lost conference championship.

How would you describe this trend?
