Where the fuck is this snow?

Rained quite a bit and was expecting to see a few inches this morning but all it appeared to be was an icy crust and a very thin layer of snow covering it. Forecasters saying just a few inches this afternoon for far SE Wisconsin. Yesterday I had no snow at all in my yard.

I am currently on board with the predicted less than one inch in the greater Gurnee area. Driveway was a little slick this morning, but the roads were fine.

Now I just want to get the fuck out of Wheeling unscathed at 4:30 so I can get to bowling on time tonight.

They were cancelled already last night out his way. I was looking at the weather map and then Emergency Closing Center and was like, "What, they're calling it already?" We had a number of subs call in yesterday and say they wouldn't be available if we were open due to weather forcast...

Good lord. All we had was a note from the principal saying that they were sending the kids' chromebooks home in case it actually got that bad. Maybe it's because we're north of the really bad shit, but a preemptive move to a remote day because of a forecast is pretty weak.

The only good thing it does is give parents who don't have a choice but to go to work some time to make arrangements.

By "They" I meant out Bob's way as I assume he is in the Plainfield Districts based on other posts. We rarely take off due to weather out where I'm at...ha we were the only district to offer in person in the county for the full year last year. We like being at work if proper precautions are taken.

Mostly rain. The district bus to west went by at the regular time The one in middle of county called off at midday. What snow we got this afternoon is blowing like crazy and some of the roads are bad. We are barely on the edge of system here (which is what the weather guys were saying.) I won’t even fire up the blower for what fell.

Just above the knee is thigh high? Maybe on my short legs but not hers. Has dolphin been hanging around the Mennonites instead of Catholics?

I had the misfortune of having to drive from Toronto to Detroit this afternoon. Whatever missed Chicago was apparently re-routed up here. My windshield wipers looked like giant icicles by the time I got to my hotel. Several cars and at least 1 semi were in the ditch. Fortunately my rental was a Trailblazer with 4wd and seemed to handle pretty well. Thankfully the Manhattan I just polished off did a nice job of taking the edge off.

7 inches down here. Had to shovel the driveway twice since the winds were 20-30 mph. Our streets department did another shitty job. It was guess your lane on the roads home from work. Still haven't seen a plow on our street.

Maybe an inch tops in the Gurnee area. Bowled in Mundelein last night and they were maybe at 2-2.5". The roads sucked last night early. Leaving Mundelein, 45 was trash until I hit 137...then it was no biggie.

Squall was nothing by the time it got to us. Another light dusting and when I left to come into the office this morning it had already blown away. Windy AF though and quite cold.
