one of my favorite beck albums since Odelay.
if you're a beck fan, this one does not dissappoint.

check out "chemtrails" and "replica"

Eh, I was kinda underwhelmed. It seemed like an electric version of Sea Change, without all of the breakup angst. I guess I was just expecting more flamboyant production out of Danger Mouse. I'll need to give it a few more listens.

See, I LOVED Sea Change. "Lonesome Tears", "Lost Cause" and "Sunday Sun" are awesome.

:salut:
Lonesome Tears is not only the best song on that record, it might be Beck's
best song, period. His dad probably orchestrated the strings.
Sunday Sun kinda sounds like it could have been a Folk Implosion song from
'One Part Lullaby', which is also awesome.

Love Sea Change, saw the Flaming Lips with Beck at the Chicago Theater a few (6) years
ago, the Flips were Beck's band. It was ok. I prefer them seperate though.
I'm tired of the Flips though. Change your clothes, Wayne, and change the fucking setlist already.

MY GUY! I love One Part Lullaby, as well. "Free To Go" is one of the few songs that just puts me in a fantastic mood any time it's listened to. It's the ideal backing song for the "montage of old photos showing the progression of two people growing up" that often gets inflicted on the masses at wedding receptions.

I thought "Modern Guilt" was a solid effort, although nothing on it was as kick ass as "Hell Yes" from "Guero". It's also deliciously fast paced. I was amazed that it only had 10 tracks; I was expecting it to have one or two clunky 9 minute songs with such a short track listing; looks like he went with a Weezer approach. I wish Weezer would do that...

I wish Weezer would've packed it in after Pinkerton.
