The politicians are clearly bought and sold by the 61 percent.

You botched a golden opportunity to post "this is why CRT needs to be taught". Losing your fastball like you read about.

Of course they had to make the right decisions to become oligarchs after being given substantial advantages.

Your second point is a subjective opinion that I think is false.

My point always with these posts is, “Stop worshipping billionaires.”

This is a Sanders point of view that I have a hard time understanding. I agree in spirit but it's inchoate when subjected to scrutiny.

A dude opens up a store with 300k and it serves a need for a few years. Everyone likes it. Then it continues to explode and the dude gets richer. Things are going well. Then the dude becomes a billionaire and now all of a sudden he shouldn't exist? At what point should he stop profiting off the sales he's generating? Where does the profit go once the dude is prevented from earning more?

No one should be a billionaire.

There should be no lobbying in government.

Congress people shouldn’t be allowed in the senate and house after age 65.

Take away the incentive to get as rich as you can while in Congress and you might be able to use excess billionaire wealth to help this country and the world.

We don’t even have any high speed rails man.

People are going bankrupt when a loved one gets cancer.

Fuck all that.

These are things I sympathize with but it's not thought out. I'm not asking you to put together a political platform but if people want to run on ideas like this then they'll need more than slogans like "billionaires shouldn't exist". Okay, I'm open, how does that work?

That’s all I got really.

Would have to be some sort of wealth tax tho, wouldn’t it?

I don't think you can get to where Sanders wants to go in a free market system. You'd have to essentially convert economies to something that's decidedly not capitalistic.

The way out of the income inequality trajectory we are on is not more capitalism.

MANY in this country have been so brainwashed and propagandized against socialism they don’t realize there already are social programs in this country.

Even more don’t view corporate “bailouts” as socialism for the wealthy.

Social democracy is a thing.

It’s just a thing our corporate overlords do not ever want.

we have had a mix of socialism and capitalism for about 100 years now. the problem is the wealthy have regained all of that power they used to have in the 20s and 30s. we dont need more social policies, we need to bring the current businesses in check. the tech industry and big pharma are out of control, and its killing society.

Income inequality is the result of union busting, not capitalism.

I agree with your sentiment, but income inequality has risen because of our socialist policies disguised as capitalist.

Your previous list was spot on, but missed an important one....term limits.

Our problems can all be identified by following the money. In theory, I agree no single person should be a billionaire but we have to look at why and how that is the case. The money is already there to level the playing field...it's all wasted by and amongst the 1%

This doesn't get solved until that influence leaves our elected offices. No issue with a wealthy person spending 8-10 years in public service. My issue is a wealthy person spending a lifetime in "public service" leaving even wealthier.

Unionization and union-busting are both results of capitalism.

So, by the transitive property (though not the Favre Fan Terrible Football Thought Transitive Property)....
