We had this discussion already, theres no need go relitigate it. You said Foles would do better than Mitch for the Bears and I said you were wrong and then you ended up being wrong.

Yup.

Word is the Steelers are interested. Sign him and draft someone. I'm cool with that. See what he has for a year in a new environment.

Please let this happen as I want to see vegan's argument get destroyed before (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky even plays a game.

Pittsburgh tends to always play good defense, have at least 1 elite offensive weapon and a good offensive line. Probably an ideal situation for Mitch where he will look decidedly better than his actual skill level.

Pittsburgh is loaded on offense, got a top 10 RB, TE and WR.

What's my argument?

I called (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky a bust in 2019. Since leaving the bears he's thrown a total of like 6 passes. Safe to say I'm winning the debate and it's not even close.

Line is below average, they will fix it. Big Ben has sucked for a couple years..like Brees, he was hurting his team.

Nah, whoever signs him will regret it, just another " bad move" vegan is right, 6 passes and a interception .

That is objectively true - the market has spoken and said he's a backup. This year, it will speak again and say one of two things: backup or QB competition. That's about right. The kindest thing I've said about him is that he's got potential to be an elite backup. Him signing in Pitt with a chance to start doesn't invalidate that opinion.

I have no problem admitting I'm wrong - I've done so before. I conceded to Rick and FF that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was better than Foles in 2020. On (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky being at best a backup, I haven't been proven wrong even if he signs in Pitt with a chance to start. I'll be proven wrong if he emerges as a long-term starting QB.

They didn't want him last year even though, if he's good as you think he is, they should have signed him to replace Rudolph.

They didnt want any QB last year, they were fine giving Ben one last year.

It’s ok to admit you were wrong about Pitt liking Rudolph more than Mitch now that it’s pretty apparent that’s not true. No need to stretch to try to make a point about who they preferred as a backup last year lol

Pitt may or may not kick the tires on Mitch. Their GM and Tomlin are emphatic for now Rudolph is the starter. Of course everything is temporary until the FA and draft but that is now.

Dude, the fact that Mitch is in conversation with Mason fucking Rudolph proves my point. That's the #2 overall pick being compared to a guy best known for being hit on the head with Miles Garret's helmet. Congrats?

Also, how's your Stafford watch going?

Id rather have fitz or Heinke.

I dont know how in demand Mitch is but if given a choice Id say Colts is the best spot for a QB over Pittsburgh or Carolina or Skins,Broncos,Or Bucs.

@CharlesRobinson
Quick note on a QB not named Wilson or Rodgers: Spoke to a team in the thick of it for a competitive backup QB in free agency, and they have a strong belief that Mitchell (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is going to end up with the New York Giants and competing with Daniel Jones for the starting job.

Not much interest in (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, maybe he can sign as a backup and compete for a spot with Danny dimes

I could see Seattle taking a shot at him to compete with Drew Lock, and taking a rookie QB with the #9 pick to be their #3.

Well....no excuses. Pittsburgh as an organization tends is as competent as it gets. If Mitch can't be successful there, he's a bust.

Not saying it's going to work out, but there are very few options remaining out there. I understand why Pittsburgh thinks this is the best roll of the dice they have. The answer sure is not Mason Rudolph.
