Sounds like Young Crest's alma mater. No one can step up and stop an opposing team's run.

Got destroyed last night by a mediocre Notre Dame squad. They have re-loaded there team with a bunch of transfers but they are not as good as the trio they had last year.

They have a 6'10 Serbian kid who is on this third school and is 17 years old. They have a junior who is on his 4th school.

Wolfpack win the Jesuit Cup in front of a very enthusiastic crowd of a few thousand at UIC.

I pregamed at Tufano's. The place was packed with people from both schools. I post gamed as well with even more people. Great night.

They may have been missing a starter or two but generally you don't see a team like Glenbard West take out Simeon like they did....60-32

Christ they are flat out embarrassing big names:

Held Naperville North scoreless and to 6 points in the first half last night in the sectional semi.

York found themselves down 41-4 at the half in the regional final.

Watched Barrington/Bolingbrook girls BB. Sloppy play, but a fun watch. Saturday will be all championship games. Something to watch for a sports fix.

Kenwood-Whitney Young hooking it up for the chance to go downstate. 2 of the 3 best teams (along with Glenbard West) vying for the chance to go downstate. Should be a good one.

Please let my Broncos beat the brakes off of Young.

Lemont vs Simeon is the most interesting game tonight. A very average St. Laurence team missed a shot at the buzzer to upset Simeon in the regional. However Simeon rolled through the sectional. Lemont is led by a Soph who has offers from U of I and Depaul. They upset both Hillcrest and Thornton last week,

DePaul vs. Leo tonight in what is probably the state championship game.

Nah it's easily Whitney Young-Kenwood.

They have a Rivalry that goes back 40 years. Unfortunately it was in sports no one cared about. UIC's Gym is going to be packed tonight for that game.

Simeon ducked 4A because they didn't want to see either of these teams for State this year.

Yeah, They pulled a Nick Irvin this year. Morgan Park actually plays up now. Not sure if they would have done that if Simeon was 4a.

DePaul comes from 15 down to win by 7.

Double OT for Pat's and Ignatius.

SICP won in double OT for their first trip ever downstate.

I told you early on it was a different kind of Ignatius team.

Good game Nashville vs DePaul college prep. But they need a shot clock in high school basketball.

Was Wilbon there?

Brutal offensive foul call. But DePaul deserves to lose this game. They should be running this team out of the gym but Kleinschmidt doesn't play that way.

Game over.

Just caught Simeon - Metamora when Metamora made their run in the 4th. Simeon had a lid on the basket. Allowed layup after layup from a set offense.

Anyone know how to watch this on Direct TV. Or a streaming service that I don't have to subscribe to?

Or more impressively, CHGO podcast star (and SICP alum) Adam Hoge?

I wouldn't know him if he walked up to me. He really isn't very present in alumni circles, which is strange because they give you lots of opportunities to promote your career to the people.

Wilbon and Kendall Gill both gave some publicity on TV.

SICP lost the final four but beat Simeon to win third place.

They are losing 7 seniors but their best player is coming back and the sophomores lost one game all year, so they should be worth watching again next year.

Glenbard West was the best HS team I remember seeing probably since the 90's Peoria Manual teams. And the scary thing was they made it look easy.

Unfortunately for them their top 6-7 players were all seniors so it was a one year run - but wow, what a run.

I was in Champaign to see that 1993 Chicago King team take the title with with 7 footer Rashard Griffith and 7'2 Thomas Hamilton leading the way.

Yeah, I definitely think they're in the conversation with 1972 Thornridge as the best Illinois team ever.
