That seems like a reasonable contract.

I'd say 15th is a good goal for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky for the next year.

So as a neutral observer, may I suggest:
- top 10 in % of team snaps taken at QB, and
- top 15 in number of starts with a game QBR above league average, and
- less than 2.5 pick-6

Have to hit all three like a parlay to win.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is the perfect name for a Pittsburgh quarterback.

That's not a lot of money.

So Poles had him gone from Day 1.

I agree. Peters was our best lineman last year.

You’re forgetting that time Jenkins shoved a guy on the Vikings.

He's almost certainly going to get $14 million over 2 years and it could go up to as high as $27 million.

Has (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky beat out Mason Crosby and a rookie yet? Let's see if the guy has it in him to fulfill the untapped greatness Rick sees in him.

I'm not high stepping yet but I'm pretty far ahead of your thoughts on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky at this point so I'll be gracious and humble for now.

Explain how? I'm lapping your ass. I had him as a bust in 2019. He threw 43 passes in 2021. I'm so far ahead I can only see you if I run backward

What's my argument?

I called (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky a bust in 2019. Since leaving the bears he's thrown a total of like 6 passes. Safe to say I'm winning the debate and it's not even close.

Didn't you say the Steelers didn't want him?

They didn't want him last year even though, if he's good as you think he is, they should have signed him to replace Rudolph.

They didnt want any QB last year, they were fine giving Ben one last year.

It’s ok to admit you were wrong about Pitt liking Rudolph more than Mitch now that it’s pretty apparent that’s not true. No need to stretch to try to make a point about who they preferred as a backup last year lol

But, we will see what happens with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky this year. The point all along is that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a decent starting QB in the league, and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is likely to prove that next year.

You captured Pearl Harbor but got wasted in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. I'm fine conceding the Foles vs (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky battle - winning the war (that he's a bust) is more than satisfying.

He fetched tea for Allen all year last year and is still competing with nobodies for a chance to start in Pittsburgh. This is after the team that drafted #2 let him walk away. Your only chance of winning is if he becomes a viable starter somewhere. My ceiling for him has always been an elite backup. He's much closer to that even with this little experiment in Pittsburgh. That's why you've lost.

To be clear, "starter" to me means at least 3+ years post-chicago consecutively starting 17 games each year.

Not really. Rick was vague in saying starter. What does that mean? Even your phenom love has started a game.

So he can't even miss one game for 3 years?

How many QBs do you think play 51 straight?
