The daughter of one of my cousins played DIII for a reasonably good program for three years after a year on the end of a DI bench, and was good enough to be all conference for her senior year as a forward. She couldn't possibly defend any of her older uncles in any kind of low post game. Just not strong enough. She could get up in the air better, but she was ceding at least 50 pounds and 1-3 inches.

Take a random DIII women's team, and I think there are enough guys here in their 40s to put together a very competitive team. (Not me, I sucked at basketball except for fouling people)

As someone who watched probably 75% of his D3 college's Women's home games, yeah we'd win. Its possible we'd be too exhausted to score by the 2nd half, but the early lead would hold.

My cousin's son played DIII after playing 4A ISHA, and a fair amount of games over at Triton. He said the same thing years ago, he didn't have the first step quickness to be a DI player, much less a starter.

I cannot speak to the guys game as much, but I have been around high school girls basketball down here since 2010. And a true D1 player stands out in the girls game way more than a player who can play at lower levels.

Instincts on the court

Ability to score in multiple ways

We have a girl in the next town from us who is going to Missouri. She is getting ready to carry her team to a state championship in the 2nd largest class in the state. The rest of her team is average at best. There are several girls around the area who are going to lower level places and none of them can come close to this girl who is going to Missouri.
